“A MAN’S GIFT MAKES ROOM FOR HIM” The essence of this statement exemplifies in
the life of Andre Jamal Bennett, whose animation and explosive style gave birth to this
person known as KABOOM!
Born and raised in W. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, KABOOM faced daily challenges in
his life. Drugs, violence and prostitution was a norm in the area in which he grew up.
After being incarcerated several times, KABOOM started to rethink his journey in life
and would pass the time by writing songs and battling other M.C.’s. With nothing but
good feedback, he knew he could be successful.
Knowing he had to pursue his dream, KABOOM began battling on the club circuit. He
started at the Club Fivespot where he became reigning champion for 26 weeks. He then
beat out 16 MC’s in one night, from there he went on to appear on BET’s 106 and Park,
Freestyle Friday where he lost. Only to battle the same person afterwards winning
$1000.00. In KABOOM’s career he has won over 600 battles with 0 losses. He has
appeared on over 100 underground Rap DVD’s and numerous CD’s while executive
producing over 50 other underground projects. He has opened up for the Young Gunz,
Memphiz Bleek, Fabolous, Wu-Tang Clan, Lil’ Mo, Jae Millz & Gillie dakid.
KABOOM has been building up his fan base with over 6 million YOUTUBE views and
almost a quarter million MYSPACE visitors and it’s clear that his ambition is enormous.
KABOOM is one of those rare artists who has it all; an artist who’s got his whole game
down tight. KABOOM knows that he will continue to pursue his dream without
looking back. He is currently looking for a label to call home and take his music
