“Uncle Ralph” McDaniels, a hip-hop culture pioneer, entrepreneur and visionary created Video Music Box, the first music video show focused exclusively to an urban market—broadcast on public television.
McDaniels saw Kacey at a live performance in Manhattan venue. Impressed by Kacey, Uncle Ralph posted “Kacey Chysler is The Future of Entertainment” on his own MySpace page & relayed his impressions of Kacey to executive to the President at Interscope Records Sean Varro.
