Music
According to my best friend I have one of the worst music collections he has seen and he wants to borrow half of it! So it can't be that bad can it?
My music interest is varied and yes I do have what is classed as the 'embarrassing record'. Who remembers "The Smurf Song" or "A Taste Of Aggro" or even "Nellie The Elephant" by the Toy Dolls? They are there in my record collection and I am also a self confessed vinyl junkie. Confession over.
Anyway a small selection of artists in my music collection are mentioned in no particular order, but my music range is from the 1960's to current date.

Heroes
Coming Soon! My photo gallery. Packed with events, live stage performances, behind the scenes and one or two fun pictures.
Fred Wedlock is a bit of a cult figure in the West Country with his folk singing and entertaining stories. And he was happy to have his photo taken (well several in fact!) after my interview with him. His dog Anja isn't camera shy either!
An interview with Tommy Banner and Pete Budd of "The Wurzels" was always on the cards. Real stars and naturally entertaining. I saw them perform at Churchill Hall, Bristol after I did the interview with them which was unplanned but they get a review too! I was able to take some photos but armed with totally the wrong camera - not really for live shots - but thought I'd share some of the pictures that actually worked with you all.
Christopher Green is a comic genius. He is also known as his alto egos Tina C. and Ida Barr and is great to interview. However the photos I took are from his own stand up comedy routines with one or two classic poses.
Bjorn Again remain favourites of mine right from our very first meeting on 7th July 1991. I have done some fabulous interviews with them over years and shared a few drinks.
The Abbagirls were interviewed at Radio Bristol on the Alex Lewis show for a fund raising event but it was really a plan to take over the radio station and set up Abbagirls Radio! I was there to witness the fun. And I've interviewed them. They always love a challenge and their manager Colin also loves to get in on the act too.
Event organising, management and publicity are skills I have built on over a number of years. From music related events to Harness Racing and Country Fayre South West to the Bristol Arena Campaign. Once again I took photos at each of the events and slide shows will be following every soon
I've been very lucky to test out my photography skills on several Tribute Bands and other bands who kindly agreed for me to take photos at their shows (Always ask permission!) A selection will on my profile soon The Beatles Week in Liverpool is always booked in my diary. I keep going back and I'm able to practice my photography skills further in the hope I get better. It's become a real hobby of mine and below is just a sample. Coming soon.
And here are some off the cuff and fun photos I have taken to practice my photography skills. One day soon I will be take that photography course!

I've met so many people, whilst working in the media. From the famous and not so famous and had the opportunity to interview them. Some of my favourite interviews include 'Art and Power', 'Bristol Cancer Help Centre', 'Organic and real food festival' to a little boy who is blind and was on an adventure holiday. He really loved being part of the whole experience. Anything is possible no matter what. He wants to work in radio one day and I'm sure he will, but his favourite song at the time was Hear'Say "Show me the way to your love" which was played after his interview, he introduced the song himself, but I always think of that little boy and how he embraced life every time I hear that song.
I've also interviewed Bjorn Again, Hazell Dean, Jackie Stallone, Chris Green, Modesty Blaise, Anthony Worral Thompson, Sharron Davies, The Wurzels, Fred Wedlock, The Smiths Indeed, Sgt Peppers Only Darts Board Band, Mesh, Jagged, Martyn Joseph among others and enjoyed every moment chatting with them.
I also had the opportunity to join Richard Arnold on GM:tv and interview Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Julie Walters, Colin Firth, Amanda Seyfried, Christine Baranski, Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, and of course ABBA's Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus (my second meeting with him, the first in 1999!) at the Mamma Mia! film premiere in London on 30th June 2008. And my friend, fellow ABBA fan and BBC radio presenter Luke Deal was also there doing interviews which made it a worthwhile experience. We still talk about it now and the great opportunity we would not have missed for the world!
As to whom I'd like to meet ..... I'll get back to you on that one, but work wise I'm happy to meet most people. Especially if they have an interesting story to tell and have their feet firmly planted on the ground. Oh and a sense of humour is always a welcome addition.
I am using myspace for networking, like minded people involved in the areas of work I am involved in, so we may just be able to help each other out, that is what networking is all about. I'm also here so I can keep in contact with friends, family and work colleagues with most receiving personal invites, so please don't be offended if your request is turned down because this space is mainly work related.
I am now selling some music/entertainment/celebs items on eBay because I no longer have the space to store it. A lot of it has been used to help me for research purposes on many subjects over the years. So for all you fans, music collectors and those who just like to collect in general please make your way along to listings. It all has to go. Tell your friends about it too as I really need the space and have to declutter before it gets out of control! If the ebay button fails to take you my page then please look up:- poprockcelebmemorabilia - and you'll find me.
I always love chatting to people and here are one or two I have had the opportunity to interview and loved every minute of it!
