I am an actor, a singer, a dancer, a student, a gymnast, a coach, a poet, a French horn player, an English dork, an artist, a theatre geek, sometimes a loud and crazy girl, sometimes the small fish, sometimes the straight-edge girl, sometimes deviant, sometimes an emotional wreck, sometimes a hopeless procrastinator, sometimes an over-acheiver, often the girl with the plan, usually the one with an over-stuffed schedule, but always a sister, a daughter, a Catholic, and a friend. If i ever have free time, which i do my best not to, i read a book. the one consuming my life at the moment is Angels and Demons. If you've read it, you understand. if you haven't, i reccommend it. I also love reading Japanese-style novels, like Memoirs of a Geisha and Obasan. I am enthralled with Ani Difranco, props to Amanda for getting me hooked three years ago. Ani is a brilliant poet with a uniquely variable instrument (her voice). I keep two journals and a sketchbook. sometimes i cry myself to sleep for close to no reason apart from being an emotional teenage girl. i don't watch tv. i keep a day planner that is dark red with a brown leather binding. i write really small in it because i do a lot. i work at Sandhills Academy of Gymnastics keeping cute kids safe as they play around on the most ridiculous sports apparati known to man. i have a newfound love and respect of Shakespeare thanks to my recent participation in the English-Speaking Union National Shakespeare Competition at Lincoln Center, New York. <- i have performed on the Vivian Beaumont stage where Light in the Piazza is currently running. i saw the show and it is beautiful. i write poetry on scraps of paper, napkins, the backs of worksheets for school, notebooks, dividers, homework, and graph paper. i quote everything. I love rainstorms- i watch a downpour for just the right moment to jump outside and start dancing. i am a compulsive singer. i drink hot tea with sugar. if my throat is messed up, i drink chilled aloe vera juice. i love meeting people. i am very comfortable with physical proximity. in fact i'm prettu sure i couldn't live without it, being a social creature. my personal bubble is smaller than most. music is a huge part of my life. i am still pretty naive when it comes to relationships, and i have a hard time trusting others, but i will never hesitate to love someone. i do have a tendency to doubt if people mean it when they say they love me. i somehow have been fortunate enough to discover that i am blessed with an unconditional friend who, despite my skepticism, will undoubtedly be there for me for the rest of my life. i was Cherub number 93 in 2005 and i will always remember. it was the experience of my life and i will never have another like it. i realize that most people never experience a moment like that. I'm going to Northwestern University in the fall as a freshman to major in Theatre and I'm looking into a minor in Film and Media studies. I believe that beauty is born of love, and that's why i believe in God. He has blessed my life and made it beautiful with friends, family, dreams, opportunity, adventure, and in everything, love.
