Bio
I was born in Estonia, in a little town called Põlva. During my elementary school, I was studying classical violin and also singing in a girl chorus called E STuudio. We have done all kinds of music, starting with popular, folk, irish, patriotic and end up with classical concerts in different churches. We have travelled with that chorus around Europe and in United States in 2004. We have recorded 3 albums and everyone of them has my solo piece. E STuudio had it's own a cappella group, gathered only from soloist in the chorus. I was happy to be one of the group members. In 2004 I moved to Finland and leave my 15 year chorus singing behind. I started to take vocal lessons in local music school and that was where i first time heard jazz. I somehow find it very difficult and just a thought of improvising made me shut my mouth. But I didn't give up, because I just love challenges. I started to listen to jazz more and more. One day I was playing It's Only A Paper Moon on piano and because all my attention went to playing piano, I started to improvise and it worked. Just like that. I was overwhelmed. Now I have singing jazz for almost 4 years and i feel like this is what I want to do for the rest of my life! I graduated from this local music school in Pori, Finland, and continued in Helsinki, Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. I had a chance to take vocal lessons with a finnish free jazz saxophone player called Esa Pietilä. He was the best teacher I had ever had before. In Fall 2009 I receive a $12 000 Berklee scholarship and that was opportunity I couldn't let go. Despite all of my financial difficulties I made it there! After 2 successful semesters at Berklee College of Music I'm back in Finland again. I was accepted to Sibelius-Academy Jazz Department and I will study there the next 5,5 years. I couldn't be more happier! Hope you like my music and you will come to my gigs and maybe in the future you will buy some of my records! ;) Much love!! -

Bio:
Hi! I'm Kadi, 25 years old jazz-singer from Finland/Estonia. I became a musician, when I was 6 years old! ;) I started playing violin and I joined a choir E STuudio, where I was singing 15 years. I moved to Finland almost 6 years ago. I started taking vocal lessons in Palmgren-conservatory. That made me realize, what I really want to do with my life - become a jazz-singer. In 2009 I was excepted to Metropolia University of Applied Sciences and in that same year to Berklee College of Music. I started in Berklee in January 2011. I sing and compose jazz to my own band called Kadi Quartet. I also work with duets. I hope you enjoy my music! ;) .. ............ ..
