KAIDAN is the term used for the Japanese ghost stories, and, extensively, for the J-Horror culture. The Buddhist moralizing stories were rapidly transformed into international shockers; people wanted more frightening monstrosities and oddness, with no direct connection with the Western horror.
Manga, anime, movies and the subcultures developed around them competed in shicks and panic. If you really want to know why on the Japanese horror movies is written 18+, take a look at the next issue of Otaku Magazine. Nevertheless, is our duty to warn you that all who looked inside certain pages of this issue have disappeared shortly after. Still, it might be just a story to send the children to sleep for good.
How have you been? I've been pretty well; just working a lot.
I've decided that I want to save up some money and go backpacking in another country.
I want to go to either Japan, the Island of Crete, the Phillipines, or Finland! Maybe if I visit Fukuoka I can come to one of your gigs and we can meet. Besides, I want to try some of that Fukuoka ramen!
Hope you are doing well! Tell me what you have been doing lately. :]
There's no need to apologize. Your response wasn't that late. I'm just happy to hear from you. Your comments are well worth the wait.
I really admire and respect your dream to help children realize their potential and to open up a world of unlimited possibilities to them. You would make a great teacher and I'm certain you will accomplish your dreams and goals.
I was reading the interview you did on clubotaku. com and I was so surprised to find out you like Haruki Murakami! He's one of my favorite authors too; my favorite book is "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle" or "South of the Border, West of the Sun".
Also, I was wondering what part of Japan you live in? Is it more in the city or in the country? That's exciting about moving. My favorite part is the first night you get to sleep in a new place and wake up and know that it's your home. It's such a good feeling. Tell me about your home.
Hope you are having a good day! You're in my thoughts. :)

That's so wonderful that you are so passionate about helping others - especially children.
My mother is a child care director at a daycare here in town so I'm always up there helping out with the little kids in her class. Plus I have three little sisters and two little brothers as well; which as I'm sure you can imagine, I'm very protective of and love tremendously.
What are your goals - what are you planning to do once you've studied more about child welfare?
I must say, I wish that I had the strength that you seem to possess. How do you just decide to not allow fear into your life? Sometimes it's a great deal harder to let go of fear; especially for people who live in a culture that is founded and embedded in fear.
Although, I'm not so afraid these days and it's meeting radiant souls like yourself that offer me hope; that there is still so much unfathomable beauty and light out there amidst all the uncertainty and disorder. Thank you for your prayers and kind words. They mean so much more than you could know. :)
I need to get going now but keep letting your light shine! I can't wait to hear back from you. Tell me about your weekend.
Tell me a little bit about yourself. I mean other than being a piano lecturer and musician. I'm talking about your dreams, hopes, fears, aspirations..anything and everything.
And I just want you to know that your comment has put the biggest smile on my face. It was very unexpected and it made me very happy. So thank you for that.
And thank you for the incredibly beautiful and touching songs that you make.
