La banda comenzó en el 2005 cuando Samer (primera guitarra), Pedro (bajo) , Marlon (batería) y Jessica(Vocalista) decidieron componer algunos temas, con un solo objetivo, hacer música que los 4 disfrutaran, heavy metal gotico, en vista de la necesidad de otro guitarrista, entró Danny a escena, ya con 5 integrantes, solo faltaba ese toque gótico que tanto deseaban, es por eso, que luego de algunas canciones y otras en mente, Joel (teclados) entra a formar parte de la banda, dandole no solo melodías e influencias goticas a las canciones, sino ayudando significativamente a la composición de nuevas.
Kaelum se ha dado a conocer por el Táchira y sus cercanías rápidamente por sus exelentes presentaciones en vivo, sus versiones de canciones de Nightwish y Stratovarius y su puesta en escena, luego de grabar su demo con el destacado músico Carlos Arellano, la banda ha mejorado mucho.
Actualmente la agrupación se encuentra componiendo nuevos temas que serán mostrados en futuros conciertos.
