Kafkas Orient Bazaar is not your regular indie band next door. Back in 2007, they released their debut album "It Could Be Dangerous" whilst still a three-piece, but already with their characteristic variation of German, English and Turkish songs. Their raw, 70s-punk guitar indie from back then has expanded into many directions: apart from brazen use of sweet pop melodies the four young Munich lads tend to employ bold keyboard hooks like from the 80s and fresh stylistic devices of last years' explosive indie/core-sound. All of this results in a state of the art scene blend.
But Attila, Christoph, Julian and Adrian do not rest on the laurels they earned with good press, opening shows for international scene stars like The Young Knives or Hot Club de Paris and playing in renowned clubs like The Atomic Café (Munich) or Weekender Club (Innsbruck). The unfatiguing and versatile songwriting is planned to be cast in plastic soon. In preparation for the secound full-length the band recorded demo songs with Tobias Helmlinger, formerly of The Robocop Kraus, now in UhOh. Great expectations are absolutely appropriate.
Kafkas Orient Bazaar sind nicht die Standard-Indieband
von nebenan. 2007 erschien das Debütalbum "It Could
Be Dangerous", damals noch als Trio, aber schon mit
der charakteristischen Abwechslung zwischen den drei
Sprachen deutsch, englisch und türkisch. Der raue, 70s-
Punk-lastige Gitarrenindie von damals aber hat sich
seitdem in viele Richtungen verbreitert: neben dem
schamlosen Einsatz süßer Popmelodien greifen die vier
inzwischen
immer
großzügiger
zu
frechen
Keyboardhooks wie aus den 80ern und frischen
Stilmitteln aus dem explosiven Indie/Core-Sound der
letzten Jahre. Das Ergebnis ist ein hochmodernes,
tanzbares Szene-Gemisch.
Doch sie ruhen sich nicht auf den Lorbeeren aus, die
ihnen durch gute Presse, Supportslots für internationale
Szene-Acts wie The Young Knives oder Hot Club de Paris
und Auftritte in renommierten Clubs wie dem Atomic
Café oder dem Weekender Club verliehen wurden. Das
unermüdliche und experimentierfreudige Songwriting
soll bald mit einem zweiten Album in Plastik gegossen
werden. Für dessen Vorbereitung ist die Band mit Tobias
Helmlinger (ex-The Robocop Kraus, UhOh!) ins Studio
gegangen. Man darf also Großes erwarten.
Kafkas Orient Bazaar tanıdığın tipik indie rock gruplarından değil.
2007'de 3 kişilik bir grup olarak, It Could Be Dangerous isimli ilk albümlerini kaydettiler -
o zamanlarda bile kendi tarz ve üç dilli şarkılarıyla kendilerini tanıtmışlardı.
Eskiden kullandıları yetmişli yılların punk gitarından başlayarak stillerini birçok
yönde genişlettiler: hem tatlı pop melodileri, hemde heyecanlı sekzenli yılların keyboard
temalarını ve geçen senelerin kaynar indie/hardcore baharatını kullanarak rock türlerinin tam
güncel birleşimini buldular.
Ama Attila, Christoph, Julian ve Adrian gerek basından, gerekse uluslararası meşhur gruplardan ve ünlü
rock klüblerinden biriktirdikleri övgülerle ara vermeden yollarına devam ediyorlar. Bitmez tükenmez,
çeşitkenar besteleri çok yakında yineden bir CD'ye kaydedilecek. İkinci albüm içinse
(eskiden Robocop Kraus'ta çalan) Tobias Helmlinger'le beraber üç demo şarkı hazırladılar.
