Let me just start by saying that life would suck completely without VAST and Depeche Mode.
..
Also love Tori Amos, Tool, The Pogues, The Cure, Indigo Girls, The Shins, John Denver, Fleetwood Mac, Rilo Kiley. If you have any music recommendations for me, pop me a message. I will always give it a fair shot, even if I KNOW it doesn't suit me. >>>>>>> Flashback Story: Back in junior high, I became obsessed with the 50's, 60's, and 70's...to a point where that was the only music I'd listen to (yes...I even turned my back on DM *shockhorror*). So for two full years, I only listened to "oldies". Which made me a freak at school dances. But anyway, here's a playlist to give you an idea of what I listened to as a budding teen.
..
Movies
Edward Scissorhands, Donnie Darko, Indian Summer, The 'Burbs, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me, Heathers, Labyrinth, Pump Up the Volume, Meatballs, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Ghost World, Wild at Heart, the Phantasm series, the Evil Dead series, Halloween, the original TCM, Stand By Me, Shawshank Redemption, Goonies, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Caddyshack, Pretty in Pink, Empire Records, The Virgin Suicides, The Big Lebowski, O Brother Where Art Thou?, Fargo, and MANY more that I don't have the time to list.
Television
Everything I like keeps getting cancelled...*sigh*...Twin Peaks, Northern Exposure, M*A*S*H, Due South, Doctor Who, Dead Like Me, Six Feet Under, Star Trek (all series), Naked Science, American Gothic, Men in Trees, Nova, Wonderfalls, MSCL...
Books
I will read anything. But I think the one book that will always be on my mind is Blue Highways by William Least Heat-Moon. Also recommend: M*A*S*H: A Novel About Three Army Doctors by Richard Hooker...even if you didn't care for the series or the movie, the book (which came first) is wonderfully written and a quick read. A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle, Silent Spring by Rachel Carson, any Stephen King prior to like the early 90's (The Stand is still sheer brilliance, and do NOT overlook Different Seasons...I firmly believe he is an absolute master of the "short story" format)
Heroes
This is such a silly question. So many people have had an effect on me since the day I was born. To hold any single person up as a hero would effectively negate the value of all the others.

About me: I try to pretend that I'm above MySpace because I have my own website, but you know what? I fucking love this place in sick sick ways. It relieves me of the responsibility of replying to peoples' e-mails. And anything that does that for me rocks my ass.
Who I'd like to meet: My sanity. Have you seen it? I'm also interested in reconnecting with my virginity, making amends with my modesty, and possibly even crossing paths with my self-esteem.
oh yeah I would love to go. I am free Saturday morning and afternoon. Sunday the girls are ordering their dresses for the wedding. Give me a call this week, we can always plan a sleep over??? Love ya!
