My music is a wide mix of styles including Rock, Country, Blue Grass, Motown, Pop, Punk, Acoustic, and more. I think my music stands out as something different and new. Because I have such a large range of influences it's hard to put my music into one category.
I guess you might say that music runs in my blood. I remeber when I was five we used to visit some friends who had a piano and I would sit and write songs for hours upon hours. They used to have to peel me from the seat when it was time to leave. I got my first acoustic guitar when I was about fourteen, and a 1970's Fender Strat and amp when I was fifteen. I started writing my own song's and joined a band with some older musician's from my home town that same year. I was hooked and knew that I would be a musician and a song writer as long as I lived. Like a lot of kid's who grow up in a small town I wanted to move to the city after school and be where the music was alway's being played. I moved from town to town, city to city, all over California and played in several different band's. Ater many year's of being away from my family I moved back to northern California so I could be closer to them. But I don't think I am meant to stand still and the road call's to my heart. I will be recording a long overdue EP in Febuary of 09 and look forward to finally getting some new tunes out there for everyone. The great thing about being a song writer and a musician is that you never stop learning and growing. It open's our heart's and mind's and know's no border's or discrimination. I hope you enjoy my music! Thank's for stopping by.
Peace,
Kai Clark
There is a Gene Clark and also a Dillard & Clark website which I have hit up to be MySpace Friends who never reply! If you know those folks who run either website (I see you are MySpace Friends with both) then please tell them Sid Griffin wants to be MySpace Friends with 'em as well, okay?
Thanks.
I have some cool Gene stories saved up for you when we meet.
I knew your Dad, did a lot of reissued CDs for him and pray I have done him justice down the years with legitimate stuff and not the more marginal material. He was always kind to me and I always enjoyed being in his company.
I am diggin' your scene now and hope the years are treating you well. If you are ever in London, England please give me a shout. It would be good to see you sometime.
Hey Kai! Can't wait to be able to get your album when it's ready :D I'm excited too as I'm recording a three track CD late summer/early autumn :) Take care, Kat xXx
