Bio
KAIJY was born in the monastery "St. Marien" on December 14th, 1961 in Bonn / Germany. He made his first experience in music when he was nine years old with a pipe- organ, while knowing an organist who was instantly surprised from his talent. In his juvenilia time he changend his instrument into guitar and began to practice instrumentals in "finger- picking" before he started making concerts with own compositions in that style. After he participated in workshops at the conservatory ( Cologne ) on jazz- guitar by E. Marron, he worked on different Fusion Band- Projekts together with the Nirav- Saahas Trio. During this time he continue the work on semiprofessionell and independent projects in Hamburg, for example Temple Jazz with H. Riess ( Soulciety 1997 ). After all performing as a solist, he decided to produce his first album NIGHTWALKER ( Jazz- Fusion ) in 1998, before he changed completly in the new century as a songwriter. Going back to the roots of his youth, he developed a symbiotic- style of pop- folk guitar arrangements and songs, which will be soon released in November 2010 on his new CD "DREAM LIFE" produced in 2006 by MO'VISION. Beyond his own solo-project, he is now again arranging and composing music for acoustic guitar together with the vocalistin & songwriterin Jasmin Hencke. -
