About me: My name is Kaitlin Hahn and I'm a Celtic fiddler from Wisconsin, USA. I've been playing classical violin since I was six, piano since I was ten, and Celtic fiddle since I was eighteen. I play in a band called Atlantic Wave, which has been in existence for two years, now, and we have a lot of fun playing gigs (see calendar for details). I have 2 CD's out: "Nice to Meet You," which is my own album, and "Craic'd!," Atlantic Wave's album. Right now, teaching is my job during the week... I have over 40 students in violin, fiddle, piano, and viola and I'm on the faculty of the Irish Fest School of Music. That's pretty much my life in a nutshell... but if you want to read a full bio, please visit my web site at www.kaitlinhahn.com!

Once drove an old sedan, up north, From a place in Sydney to Cairns; Then to Kuranda I went forth, By train, to look without set plans.
I browsed through the trendy market, With fresh fruits of tropical kind; Walked to the creek through lush thicket - Nature’s hand giving peace of mind.
I dined in a scenic cafe; Then, outside, as I wrote for yen, Some passing Kooris called-out: “Hey, You go walkabout with your pen.”
Request or question, I don’t know - Assured voices, elderly men. That’s now several years ago, And I’ve seen the world - with my pen.
Welcome and thanks for the friendship. Hope you enjoy Irish Uilleann pipes and of course you already love Irish fiddle ... if you hear mandola sneaking in, that's me:)

Poem 16 of 230, walkaboutsverse.741.com: A BEAUTIFUL STAGE
If a couple, with plans to wed, Asked me, off the top of my head, For somewhere I thought well in tune As a place for a honeymoon, It would have - flashing back - to be Beautifully honed Italy.
