Kalacha est une rencontre humaine et musicale au carrefour des frontières. Un son world électro zen dans l'album ensemble, entre didgeridoo et guitare saturée, une musique planante et envoûtante...
Inspirée du métissage des cultures, l'énergie de Kalacha propage avec bonheur les sonorités des musiques ancestrales sur des beat électro. David (digeridoo, chant), Nicolaï (guitare électrique), Régis (basse), Julien (batterie),Franck au clavié et Amrat (tablas) nous offrent un voyage zen à la rencontre des cinq continents.
Lorsqu'un joueur de tablas du Rajasthan accompagne un guitariste colombien, lorsque le didgeridoo aborigène engage un dialogue avec la basse électrique, enrobé de nappes et quelques pompes Reggae, lorsque le tout est sublimé par quelques coups de baguettes magiques, on comprend enfin ce que veut dire "Ensemble"... Un "ensemble" vibrant et jubilatoire, auquel on ne saurait résister !
POUR LA PETITE HISTOIRE :
Kalacha a pris naissance dans l'esprit de David, il y a sept ans.
A la fin des années 90, David crée "Africa Toubab" groupe de world festif composé de cinq musiciens (basse, batterie, piano, guitares, percussions, chant) se produisant dans la région Rhône alpes. Profitant des premières parties, Kalacha fait son apparition sur les planches.
A l'époque, Kalacha était composé de quatre musiciens : Yéshé Droguen (bâton de pluie), Yéshé Gyatso (didgeridoo), Péma Kandhro (doum doum et chant) , Tcheukyi Dawa, (chant percussions).
En novembre 2000, un premier contrat sera signé entre Africa Toubab et Mac ben music, représenté par Jocelyn Garabedian, anciennement directeur artistique de grandes majors.
Au cours de l'année 2001 et malgré la dissolution dAfrica Toubab, Jocelyn Garabedian conserve un intérêt certain pour la créativité de David et le pousse à poursuivre ses compositions.
Et c'est début 2003 que Kalacha apparaît dans sa forme actuelle, motivé par la rencontre de Claude Duverney, guitariste et arrangeur musical de renom.
Un nouveau style est né « Aborigène, voire Electro Zen »
Le projet séduit Jocelyn Garabedian, et après 3 ans de travail, un album est enregistré, produit par Kalacha et Jocelyn sortie en mars 2007 sous le label Dilgo Prod.
actuellement le groupe fait une petite escale vers la Jamaïque et nous propose un nouveau spectacle plus World, Rock,Reggae... Puis dans la grande famille d'Amrat Hussain, il y a Tipoo, 18 ans et déjà un grand joueur de tabla...
Qui comme Franck, vient d'entrer dans la famille KALACHA.

are you excited for addy to move?i wasnt for keifer but i guess yesterday he went to go visit and refused to back to the 2s and stayed with sharen the hole day! i think addy will do fine because she is very sassy so the bigger kids wont pick on her:)she moves monday? you gonna be able to help her out? did you ever start on them online survey things i told you about? i hope you did, i just another check, this was for $237 from 2 weeks ago. if you didn't yet, pshhh, get on it; i guess you'll have to type the link into internet explorer or whatever, but here it is again:

UGH! It's just that he picks the damnedest (I know it's not a word) times to take a nap. hey u! how ya been? hope things are going good. I havent been able to make it over to the hotel to stop in for a minute... clints been working in town again so im back on dinner duty. lol we are trying to get a mailing list made for my mom to send the invitations out so that's yay. its going to be june 6th at 11a we're going to have some food a bit before. kind of a celebration thang, ya know? quitting mah job with that lameass of a boss jaime. gah, i aint gonna miss her at all! i still cant believe that that survey thing that britt showed me is actually working - n dat we're gettin paid; im so luvin it too. givin mah opinion on stuff i do - pshhh ... so easy. i wonder if we'll ever hit da cash that that website said we would. i dunno, but with my last check being $126, i dont even care. i only pulled in like 200 a week and my crapass job anyway, so this is perfect. you should do it, i'm tellin yah. i guess you'll have to type the link into internet explorer or whatever, but here it is:
