We are in love, and we also play music together. That's either sickening or perfect, depending on your point of view. We are parents of a brand-new baby, too. eww.
Our music appears to be a subtle mix of slowcore, old country-western, and experimental noise. Some influences might be Low, Ida, Sonic Youth, Mates of State, Kenny&Dolly, the Carter Family, and Landing--basically any band with a boy and a girl. We also have a strange obsession with Roxette.
We are currently recording songs for our first full length album...look for its release sometime later this year!
Kalaloch has a brand new 7 inch record!!! We recorded the 7-inch in all analog on vintage equipment with Eric Lovre (of NW legends the Dharma Bums).
We have 300 copies of the record on swirly white and grey vinyl, and 200 on plain white. This record is for sale at select record stores in Salem and Portland. Watch this space for how to order it online. We'll figure out some official distribution in the future, but for right now, if you want one, send us a message, and we'll make sure you get one. They are five dollars.
We enjoy playing shows and taking weekends to travel to exotic nearby places. Let us know if you want us to play in your town. We'll load up the volkswagen and go.
Thank you so much for the request. We really appreciate it, and hope that you are enjoying the new songs. We just released our debut album (cdbaby.com/woodlandsmusic)! We are also on Facebook if you would like to add us there (facebook.com/pages/The-Woodlands/52820438119). We hope you had a good show at Cafe Noir.
