A very unique sound pulling from flavors of her influences such as Tori Amos, Sara McLachlan, Loreena McKennitt and even some of her rock roots like Pat Benetar. She is a cross between new age, rock and adult contemporary.
Kaleah is a visionary, author, clinical hypnotherapist, holistic counselor, singer and songwriter. She is passionate about expressing herself through her writing and music and also has a thriving counseling practice helping mostly women in the inner journey of transformation.
Her latest CD project “Emergence” captures the essence of our time as we approach the 2012 Gateway! Kaleah sees this Gateway as an emergence not only of the divine feminine but also of our species into its new form. Through music she captures the journey of the soul through darkness and finally its emergence into light.
For over a decade Kaleah has been immersed in the study of the the souls journey which involved mythology and the dark Goddess of transformation and rebirth. She has also been fascinated with the Mayan Calendar and it's ending on December 21st 2012. She has written about the feminine journey and the dark night of the soul. She sings about the shadow side of humanity and the quest for the light of understanding.
Kaleah's first CD was released in January 2000 with “From the Shadows.” Here her journey of emergence was first beginning to be captured. She was inspired by the Hindu Goddess Kali, the dark Goddess of transformation and rebirth, and also the process of knowing and understanding herself in her quest to live the authentic life. She continues to capture this inner journey with “The Road Home” released in 2004.
In 2008 Kaleah released a Chakra Toning Tune Up CD with seven tracks of toning to correspond with each of the energy centers of the body. In late 2008 Kaleah began working on “Emergence” a project of vocal chants without lyrics. Her music was used in several film projects including “The Voice” and “Future of Medicine” where she received attention for her non lyrical vocal chants. It was the numerous requests for these chants which inspired “Emergence.”
Kaleah's music is often compared to artists such as Sara McLachlan, Loreena McKennitt, Enya, Celtic Women and others who share that hauntingly beautiful ethereal voice. She plays keyboards and many of her songs have beautiful piano melodies as well as an array of keyboard driven instruments. Her music easily fits into the “New Age” and World genres, especially Emergence and Chakra Toning.
In addition to her musical accomplishments Kaleah has written two ebooks on narcissism and offers these books and several audio hypnosis programs through her website www.narcissismfree.com. She conducts a radio show “Dispelling the Myths” where she covers topics like narcissism, women's empowerment, and personal and spiritual growth.
Emergence has an Official Release date of December 21st 2009 and she plans on launching a spiritual tour in January of 2010.
