"Featuring graceful acoustics and the silky smooth voice of Kaleb Hikele, The Sun Harmonic is self-produced and worthy of praise due to its classic simplicity of song. An amazing production, captured during seven hours of live recording, The Sun Harmonic will not disappoint its soft-hearted listeners."
Florence Ng of Discorder Magazine, Vancouver, BC.
"The CD’s nine tracks stay true to the pastoral setting it was recorded in; quiet folk rock, though you can still hear Kaleb's screamo roots in his delivery. Even tracks like ‘Oh The Flame Burns’, which has string overdubs, have a certain sparseness which adds to the reflective feel of the CD."
Dave Clarke of SCENE Magazine, London, ON.
"Kaleb, who produced the release, went for a raw edge on the recording being careful to not over produce the music- You can feel a real passion, heard in Kaleb's vocals. This release offers up a nice collection of songs that push the singer songwriter envelope in a good direction." Rating: 8.3 out of 10.

"A great album done by a brilliant musician. The album delivers in all the right places"
In 2007, after years of unveiling punk-rock bands and an indie-alternative trio, Kaleb Hikele had indulged in fronting his first solo album. Now living and performing in Toronto as the artist “The Sun Harmonic”, he is an emerging singer/songwriter with alternative folk-rock roots.
Born and raised in the city of St.Thomas, Ontario, he was playing the piano at age 5 and learned the guitar before public school graduation, teaching himself other instruments for years afterwards. Throughout his highschool days, he played the role of singer and songwriter in a screamo-punk band- “
Far From Freedom ”
and in an alternative-rock trio -“
The Capitol ”.
He has since released an array of ambitious solo albums with studio chemistry and songwriting experimentation, typically orchestrating the production and playing most of the instrumentals heard. Kaleb Hikele has graced the stage of the Horseshoe Tavern, the Cameron House, the Opera House, the Rivoli and other notable venues in the Toronto area.
Kaleb Hikele now appears on stage as The Sun Harmonic - an independent solo artist. Off stage, he owns and operates a recording facility and sound studio in the heart of downtown Toronto entitled "
The Townhouse ", where he acts as an aspiring sound chemist and music producer.

Yo, For Better Words thinks your cute. Because you are, cutie. Keep bringin' out the sick-ass tunes! Your buddy Bob. Much love candy pants. Let's get a gig together! Cheerio!
Kaleb, its Scott from the casbah show the other night, i bought two albums off you. Great work man keep it going! I know someone else you would like, look for Darin Martin on myspace. Hes got some great tunes and he reminds me of you. And a personal friend of mine as well.
I adore your voice, and well I pretty much just really enjoy the entire sound of your music. Just enough raw emotion without being overwhelming whiny. Props to you for understanding that balance.

I really enjoy your music... Like me you are trying to do it on your own! You're succeeding to... You are a really good guitarist and I hope you realize that! Write if you want a better review!
