Influences
This recent release by the band Thrice really says what we are all about in the long run:
Thrice - Come All You Weary ..
The Kaleidoscope Coffeehouse is at First United Methodist Church, 601 E. Michigan Ave, Albion, MI 49224. We are offering live music on Saturday nights from 8 to 10 PM. Admission is free. Coffee & tea are free. Donations will be accepted and encouraged for the performing artists and to help buy supplies (more coffee, etc.).
The Kaleidoscope is not the typical coffeehouse that offers exotic and expensive hot & cold coffee drinks using fancy steamers or noisy blenders. The Kaleidoscope is a not-for-financial-profit community coffeehouse. It will, by design, spawn groups or activities that will profit the community in some way on other nights of the week.
That is where the Kaleidoscope concept comes in - the people, needs, resources, strengths, weaknesses, assets, surpluses, etc., of the community come in many shapes and colors. Like a kaleidoscope, these are constantly changing. It is our hope that the coffeehouse will become a rallying place for meeting to help meet some of the community's needs. On some nights, it may simply be a nice, quiet place to hang out, read, study or use our wireless Internet access. On other nights it may become the meeting place for an AA or NA group that uses part of the facilities, for example, or a book discussion group, etc. On Saturday, it's time to kick back, relax and listen to some music.
The main performing room will comfortably hold 25 to 30 people in the audience. Another adjacent room has tables & seating for listening, reading, socializing, etc. That too should hold at least a couple dozen more people.
If you are interested in performing, giving a helping hand or even need some help, please contact us.
Any comments, suggestions, prayers, etc., would also be greatly appreciated.
Just stopping by to say "hi" and invite you to stop by my profile page and listen to a few of my songs... it makes me happy when you do : ) Enjoy your day...
Thanks for the comment and I enjoyed playing there, albeit it was in the dead of winter! No new CD, just promoting the same one I sold at the show. Always new songs though... and at some point another live recording : ) The audience at your place was great; very enjoyable experience for me : )
well, it has been a long and winding road, and an even longer time coming, but my debut CD, I Remember, is FINALLY HERE!!! YAY!!!!!
to celebrate, American HeartBeat Records(tm) has arranged a FREE DOWNLOAD of Now Is The Time in exchange for a valid email address. Now Is The Time is a brand new, upbeat song I wrote: we are living in turbulent times. suddenly it is okay to be greedy and heartless? no way! a song of hope for our future, a new vision of America and the world.
we have a bunch of exciting things planned to kick this whole thing off, and we need to get a better picture of who our friends are, so the FREE DOWNLOAD form will ask you a few questions, like, what is your country and nearest major city. it all takes maybe 15 seconds.
anyhoo, the FREE DOWNLOAD, and the FUN, begins at www.JAETCHISON.com
I look forward to getting to know you a little better, and I thank you SO VERY MUCH for your friendship and support!
please tell your friends about JAETCHISON.com, and ask them to sign up for the email list, too! FUN things are coming up!!
Just wanted to say thank you for being a fan of my music. I'd like to send you my CD; there is a catch of course, but as catches go this one is not bad. Send me a comment or message if you are interested : )
Thanks for the add... Please let us know if we can help you with any of your signage or marketing needs... Have a great week…www. bannersnationwide. com
