Kaleo Na'ea, a descendant of the last king of Kaua'i, BRINGS THE ISLANDS TO YOU with his traditional and slack-key guitar and Hawaiian song and his 4-piece string band, "KALEO" an exceptional ensemble of musicians: Magical slides and glides on Hawaiian steel guitar by Bill "Pila" Flores, a sweetly strumming ukulele by Jody "Koki" Eulitz, and Tom "Tiki" Lee on his swingin' upright bass… and graced by the lovely hula dance of Liana! A pupu platter of island sing and swing! These traditional Hawaiian and hapa-haole classics range from touchingly sweet to snazzy and humorous, and will set your toes tapping and your hips swaying as you are serenaded in tropical paradise.

BIO:
I'm Kama'aina (island born) 1973 and raised on Kaua'i. My great-grandmother's great-grandfather is Kaumuali'i, Kauai's last King and I'm a descendant of George Na'ea, birth father of Hawaii's Queen Emma Na'ea Rooke!
I learned about island history and the ways and spirit of aloha from my tutu (grandmother in Hawaiian), Kamanao Na'ea who was a guitarist, singer and narrator at the Kodak Hula Show in Waikiki for two decades, she taught me to play and sing Hawaiian music from the day I was born until I moved to Santa Barbara in 1987 where I studied with many guitar masters over the next 20 years. I'm also a massage therapist, I came from a long line of Kahuna's, learning the ways of huna (ancient Hawaiian wisdom) from my Kahuna relatives on Kauai.
