I have been traveling the Southwest for ten years, studying Dharma in Hindu and Buddhist communities. My work reflects my desire to help create a world where every being is honored for its apparent or hidden divinity. Chanting has sustained my life because it cleanses my perception and reminds that what I see is only a small part of God's plan. It helps me trust in the divine order.

Chanting is the first step. By saying the name of Ma, we remember Ma until eventually all we ever see is Her. We're too busy right now playing with the toys of the world, but when we're tired and it's getting dark, we start to cry. When that crying becomes unbearable, it becomes our greatest treasure. That's when the Mother can no longer stay away. She has to come and hold us in Her arms. Ramakrishna said that you have to have intense restlessness to see God, the restlessness that a drowning man feels for the shore. We all have the potential to see Ma, but you have to want it so bad.

Sarada Devi is one of the great beings who flooded my life with her graceful presence. She had all the shakti/energy of a great saint but also the forgiveness and care of the Mother.
