"Still Life With Woodpecker" by Tom Robbins and "Stardust" by Neil Gaiman are my favorites. Most of Neil's books rank among my favorites, really. All things Harry Potter (POA is my favorite). Lots of travel-related books, especially "Without Reservations" by Alice Steinbech and "Tales of a Female Nomad" by Rita Golden Gelman. The Alchemist. I always want book suggestions, so share!Heroes

Originally this was going to be a “Life Lessons Learned in 2008” blog, but I got all of three items into it before I wanted to slit my wrists, so I figured it would be in all our best interests if I took another direction. I’m not sure what this will be, but I’m sure as I type, something will take shape. *time elapses* Okay, it didn’t. It got worse and more disjointed, so I give up. Want to know where I landed?

I bought a Honey Bear so in the morning, when I’d force myself out of bed, I could look at it and lessen the chance I’d cry while I made myself a cup of tea. I’m not kidding.
I hate that everything I dared to let myself believe in failed me this year. And not just slightly… epic, catastrophic, doom fail.
And to top it off, you fucking ruined my favorite cartoon, you cowardly bastard. I hope you’re miserable.
