"Fasteau plays with agility and grace, with precision and freedom, with driving force and haunting beauty." SIGNAL TO NOISE.
"This woman is one of the music's pioneers, and one of the few to have so consistently maintained and expanded her vision." JAZZ NOW.
"Fasteau's powerful free improvisations extend the legacy of John Coltrane, with her own distinct exploratory voice and luxurious sound." JAZZIZ.
"A masterpiece in Fasteau's rich gallery of work, her astonishing multi-instrumental and vocal improvisations balance intricate pulsating rhythms with deep-rooted melodies. She is the avant-garde's Joan of Arc." SONICNET.

"Music lives in a multi-dimensional sphere encompassing all possible sounds...high and low, soft and loud, slow and fast, smooth and rough, legato and staccato. The essence of creating music is combining these yin and yang parameters of sound so as to enhance their distinctive qualities moving through time. This joining of opposites expresses the joyful unity of life." Kali. Z. Fasteau.
