.. Kalki is an experimental audio project, based out of Vancouver, BC, Canada... The group's name is taken from the final avatar of Vishnu, coming as he does at the end of the present age of darkness to remove the blemish of mankind from the face of the Earth... What we do:.. - Feedback loops.. - Gear misapplication -> Equipment failure.. - Invented instruments.. - Found sounds.. - White/pink noise.. - Tape manipulation.. - Esoteric studio wizardry.. Started by Mike Maxwell and Noah Kamis, the band has progressed through a number of stages and now includes Luke Meat and 333 of Doomeastvan... We played the Railway Club but I guess K.D. Lang's agent was not in attendance because we didn't get signed. Or maybe it's because our sound is a potent brew of nightmarish hallucinations, whispered half-truths, and the occasional 0 dB white-noise blast.
