BIO
I've just finished recording my E.P with MERCURY MUSIC PRIZE NOMINEE Producer Julian Simmons (The Guillemotes). I plan on releasing it in 2010. So really looking forward to that! *You can listen to the tracks in the above player, but you just can't buy them yet, soon though, soon* :)
So brothers & sisters...Hows about some interesting facts about my career so far?.. Well... I've been nominated for an INDY MUSIC AWARD in the solo female category. Alex Zane played 'Disaster' (acoustic version) on his MARS PLANETS RADIO SHOW, He said I had a 'beautiful voice'. Nice chap.
I've touched the hand of James Brown (having supported him in Vicar St Venue in Dublin). He said I had a lovely voice and he also signed my guitar. He had the whitest teeth I've ever seen & was rather small. Possibly one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
I toured with Michael Flatleys 'Feet Of Flames' in America as a musician, I also touched his hand..and saw him in a towel..but that's another story.. I've supported The Beach Boys, Paddy Casey, Martin Carthy, Paloma Faith..(etc). I've played the Trinity Ball (the largest private party in Europe), Played an intimate nite in Dublin with Damien Rice before his songs were on adverts for panty liners..they are, aren't they?!
I won the 2Fm Jacobs Song Contest for talented songwriters in Ireland. My song 'Kate' was playlisted on 2FM (Irish National Station). I wrote a song with David Sneddon (who won 'Fame Academy'). I've sung on the Guggenheim Grottos album 'Waltzing Alone' (Number one selling folk album on iTunes).
I'm currently living in London the last couple of yrs, I've become a 'Londoner'... I really love it... But I shall always have an Irish heart of course....
I really want my music to be heard by as many people as possible & I strive to connect and relate to others through the medium of my songs. I hope you enjoy listening to them, & thanks for taking the time to read this :)
