"...Kalpana could very well become the kind of mass-admired, stalwart group used as the basis of such band + band = band reviews." Skratch Magazine
"....absolutely refreshing. Their loudness, although derivative of the angry switchbox that makes the guitar a roaring lion, is a combustion of their visceral force and, seemingly, their joy of making music."

"...their influences coupled with their multi-instrumentalist abilities are showcased in a package that's simultaneously all-encompassing and concise."

guys, thanks again for playing with/for us. i hope your upstate ny experiences always improve. thanks again for your hard work, dedication and consistency. you're incredible guys!
It was great to see two guitars and bass swerving with intensity and a drummer leaving his kit to twist the knobs for some extra feedback, what a display of great musicianship!
i was at work today cleaning, setting up for the Pug Party (it's exactly what you think it is) and feeding Vladymir-7ft long Red Tail Boa, all the while listening to a mix CD i made in nyc to listen to on the subway (nothing but good tunes even by your standards). the point of this is to tell you that of all songs, the snake chose to strike and devoure the rat to kalpana.
