After 5 years of solid gigging as well as a slew of releases Melbourne's Kamikaze Trio are calling an early retirement. Kamikaze Trio were born into an age where music replication was more appreciated than originality. Did they give a fuck? From the bar room floors of inner city Melbourne the band created an original sound fusing rock, punk, post-punk, pop and noise into an indescribable mash of genius. Showcasing the fuzzy bass of Snoop Mitchell, guitar noise of Sam Agostino and the engine room drumming of the soon to be Berliner Andy Moore, the trio has made a strong impact locally and internationally with their second long player “Rain on Your Parade”. The Kamikaze Trio will sorely be missed around Melbourne for their ferocious and sweaty live shows. See one before its too late.
It's going to be a monster four band pile up on highway 666 as Vultures of Venus crash into the Birmingham on Thursday the 3rd of ..heir debut LP which is now available through I-Tunes has been receiving strong support and favorable reviews from local radio RRR, PBS and Syn Fm. It will also be available in hard copy on the night. This gig is gonna be fun, fun, fun on the Smith st autobahn. Armed with big rock riffs and blazing electrified keys this is the Vultures first show since their sellout LP Launch. This is a band with a plan; and that plan is to make you do the Can Can. Joining them on the night is Mirrorhouse Antics whos live show is a cross between the Arctic Monkeys and The Stooges. Dan Webb's 60's styled Hammond infused insanity is gonna be something to look out for as well as the 'Wise Flys' : they'll make you laugh they'll make you cry, they'll make you laugh about crying. And don't forget to look out for the crazy clown pinyada filled with burning flesh and give away fun toys for the kids. This is a B.Y.O "leotard friendly event ". G'day Come on down to the Tote on Sunday the 27th of September to celebrate the end of another Footy season. The back line will be ably defended by Gruntbucket. Coming off the bench to take their position on the wing are Dirty York. Winning the ball at all the stoppages will be the mighty mid field attack of The Get Go. They'll send the ball rocketing toward the fantastic forward line of Clinkerfield who are sure to kick a swag of goals. There'll be plenty of snags on the barbie to help with the hangover.
