About me:

LOVE 2 DANCE

My mother Vinnie Barrett, famous songwriter and one of the first female writers under Gamble and Huff Philadelphia Sound in the 70's. She has written and composed such songs as "Love Won't Let Me Wait", "Sideshow", "Just Don't Wanna Be Lonely", and "Three Ring Circus". She gave me the chance to shine and search the arts, and I fell in love! She helped me develop and fly like a butterfly. So at 4 years old I started training with the Department of Recreation and Howard University for their annual Christmas plays. I then continued to train with local studios such as Donna's Dance and Fran's Studio of Dance studying ballet, jazz, and tap. I entered Suitland High School Performing Arts Magnet program majoring in dance concentrating in ballet, modern, jazz, and african. During my high school years I was accepted into the Dance Theater of Harlem Fall Intensive and Alvin Ailey Summer Workshops. Following high school, I went straight into the college of my choice..Towson State University. I didn't stay that long though! In 1997 I went to a Prince concert in my hometown in Maryland and was invited up on stage to dance with him. That started it all!!! I performed in some cities with "The Artist" and felt the most powerful energy up on stage... I thought to myself...."This Is It!!! This is what I want to do with my life!!! Then I went into the NPG Dance Company and toured some more with some of the greatest dancers in the world. They taught me a lot and I was able to experience my dream while turning it into my new reality. Performing is my life. It helps to inspire and heal people, and you never know who's watching...So whatever you do, do it big!! YOU may change someone's life one day... like someone helped to changed mine. My mother..I love you more:)

Who I'd like to meet:

I'm just happy 2 be living and blessed 2 have this life! I think this world is a very beautiful place if we stop looking at one another's external shell and look in the inside..when u give someone a chance u never know what u find. I'm from maryland so I'm a country/city girl who was a goofy, tree-climbing, happy-go-lucky girl and I enjoy other's happiness and success..not just mine. We all have our dreams and goals. I feel we all should be sensitive, loving human beings and send everyone we meet "Luv Energy" ...2 push them 2 be great!!! Or if we don't, the world and everything around us can turn cold, unhappy, and cursed. I pick love over anything bcuz love will bring u that "thing" u have been praying or desiring 4. Could be a job, that special someone, that perfect house, but the source of all that's healthy comes from the heart and loving god and his people are all we need. Whoever reads this I hope something 2day has made u smile. My list of people I would love 2 meet are Jada Pinkett-Smith ( her strength and poise ), Pharrell and Chad of the Neptunes, Oprah, I wish I could've met Aaliyah.. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Stephen Spielberg, Halle Berry...in my dreamworld everyone gets what they want!
