   About Stargazer

Despite spending tens of thousands of hours alone crafting STARGAZER, a full-length album released in August of 2006, Sean Kammer is not altogether antisocial, at least when it comes to music. Indeed, through the years, Sean has enjoyed the privilege of working with a number of gifted artists on an array of musical projects.

In 2000 and 2001, Sean and four close friends formed a musical group they called STEVE. Over a period of about thirteen months, the band—made up of Matthew Jackson, Sean, Logan Ramsier, Nick Robinson, and David Ullman—performed a number of shows and festivals in Northeast Ohio and Pittsburgh and, under the direction of Brian Ullman, memorialized many of their original compositions in their album, IN THE EVENT OF RHYTHM. Though produced only on a limited basis, the record’s sales exceeded even the band’s lofty expectations, no doubt fueled by STEVE’s powerfully engaging live performances.

In late 2005 through the spring of 2006, Sean co-produced and mixed seven tracks on Nick Robinson’s groundbreaking album, AND SO GOD SCRATCHED OUT THE TRUTH, which Robinson released to great fanfare under the pseudonym ANOTHER SOCIAL BLUNDER. Some of these tracks even elicited favorable comparisons to Doves, Muse, and Nine Inch Nails. Sean’s exposure to this project was instrumental in inspiring many of the final touches to the organic compositions of STARGAZER.

After finishing his work on STARGAZER in the summer of 2006, Sean leapt at the opportunity to contribute to David Ullman’s elaborate studio project. By that point, Ullman had already devoted almost two years to what was becoming an all-consuming labor of love. Over the course of several months, Sean worked with Ullman in composing, performing, and recording piano tracks for a handful of songs. Then, in early January of this year, Ullman brought his finished tracks to Lincoln, Nebraska for Sean to master. The finished product, DOG DAYS, was released to great critical acclaim in February: Jeff Niesel, music editor of Free Times, praised the work as an “exquisitely beautiful record,” while Peter Chakerian, Managing Editor of Cool Cleveland, depicted the album as "deep, dark and intensely rich."

Currently, Sean and his wife Sarah are developing a live act to try to capture the mood and depth of STARGAZER through the use of piano and an assortment of harmonicas. Stay tuned.

Below are links to STARGAZER and to David Ullman’s DOG DAYS. As you may know, being an independent musician requires not only a great deal of energy and devotion, but a substantial financial “investment.” Accordingly, if you enjoy these artists’ works, please support their efforts and consider purchasing their albums.

Miss the days when us girls were allowed to hang out with you boys. Whatever happened to the grant anyhow? oh yeah, they do call me yoko. damn them! anyway, hope you had a great stay in ohio! I dunno, you might still be here.
Hope to see you, and maybe your lovely lady too, sometime in the near future@!! :)

Man, I tell you what...I don't care how sick I get, no matter what...I'm never taking any cold meds ever again. I came home from work on Monday and took a "lil" nap...and woke up to realize I missed out on another chance to see you. What a jerk-face this cold of mine has been! Can't wait to listen to some new stuff from Mr.

hey Stargazer

Apart from being one of those comments you rightfully hate with all your divine powers this also happens to be...well, my stupid attempt to leave a trace in your frontal lobe that'll last more than 10 seconds. I don't believe it'll work. Then again, I believe in unbelievable things.

The album. Download it. Either on iTunes or for free. Let it breathe on your playlist for a while. It will grace your chips, wires, ears. It'll make your aura shine.
Then again, maybe you don't like presents. Which is perfectly fine.

It's right here (free download): KETZ - WALKTHROUGH

Follow the link, click the 'free user' button and wait a few seconds for a download to start. Tell me if you have problems.

In the meantime, give this a try:

Stay close.

I cannot believe that Chris March didn't beat Rami last week. I thought the three looks that he selected were MUCH better than the three looks Rami selected to show. That said, I really liked Rami's entire line and was disappointed that he didn't win last night. Christian's show was great, but I just didn't prefer it. I didn't think that his pieces had enough variety. I liked Jillian's clothes, but agreed with the judges that they weren't very cohesive.

I'm sure that I would just blow Tim Gunn away in the auditions with my overwhelming personal style ;-) Sure I might face a few obstacles since I still struggling to sew buttons back on my clothes, but I'm sure I could overcome that...
