Every man reaches a point where they feel as if they should be doing more in their life and profession. All the success, praise, and recognition seems empty unless you've truly done the right thing to receive it. Touring in more than 13 countries and appearing on songs alongside such heavyweights as KRS One, Little Brother, Royce the 5'9, Elzhi, and many more would usually be enough to satisfy any up and coming hip hop artist. After years of recording solely under the name Supastition, the moniker of KAM MOYE(a pseudonym that is actually his shortened-real name) was birthed with a purpose to make soul-stirring music with a message as he says "to help balance the right and wrong". Rather than the usual braggadocio and cockiness, this North Carolina-native chooses to focus on conceptual songs that offer insight and a first-hand look at his own mistakes and accomplishments. His album is slated to address issues and problems that most hip hop artists shy away from including racial stereotypes among blacks, teenage parenthood, interracial dating, the fear of being labeled 'different', and other subjects. No longer concerned with 'being the illest rapper' anymore, Kam Moye is determined to give hip hop listeners an alternative to the unbalanced and sometimes uninspiring music of today.
He recently released the free EP, Self-Centered, on June 17th, 2008 which boasted over 4000+ downloads in less than 24 hours and garnered respect from some the industry's elite. Kam Moye is currently finishing his full-length LP, Splitting Image, which speaks on the good, bad, and ugly of life, love, and politics. Backed by his own Reform School Music (RSM) label, Kam plans to work with a new group of artists and producers. Though he still actively records under the name Supastition, the self-proclaimed rebel of the industry has a gameplan to kick down doors and make a 'new name' for himself.
