Apparently we sound like early Sonic Youth crossed with the Birthday Party and Butthole Surfers getting into a drunken brawl with a gang of demon possesed acid tripping aliens.
Breaking out of Sydney's suburban undergrowth, Kamukura took their name from a Japanese alien conspiracy legend.
Originally forming in late 2006, the theremin/ drum duo set tongues wagging and quickly developed a strong cult- following on the back of their live reputation.
In 2007, guitar was added to the line up, filling out the band's unique theremin based sound.
Drawing upon influences as diverse as Sonic Youth, Motorhead, The Electric Prunes, and Dead Kennedy's, even The Spice Girls and B grade horror/ sci-fi movies are name checked.
Kamukura blend together a heated cocktail of synthy theremin melody and lo-fi noisy, drone garage guitar, backed by the driving energy of a pounding drum beat to create one hell of a catchy, chaotic mess.

yeah that should be cool. what day? can you find out what requirement is needed for a gig demo, they might only want 20-30 sec of audio for each song or full songs. neither is a hastle but you might as get it right from the get go...! i'll email you my phone no.
