My family and friends are pretty cool. We hang out.
Oh yeah, I paint stuff. I draw stuff. I sculpt stuff. I cut stuff up sometimes and then glue it all together differently.
Here is one of my experiments...
and another...
And another one of my experiments...
I love doing historical re-creation and I used to work at Reniassance Faire doing improv & street theater, making costumes and props, and participating in the harrassment of innocent members of the general public... BIG FUN!
This is a picture of me and my buddy Jeff during a battle pageant...
Currently, I am back in school working toward a Masters in Fine Art, but I am truly fascinated with people, creativity, motivation, and systems
basically social and environmental engines. Why we do what we do, how we get it done and how it could be done better (I LOVE Design Science!!!)... and I suspect that I find just about everything interesting.

The "Flashman" series by George MacDonald Frasier and "Pyrates" by the same author - easily the best pirate (and historical) satire EVER written.
"Once an Eagle" one of the best books I've read about integrity and the life on an American soldier...
sheesh... Sometimes I read almost a book a day, and it gets hard to keep track.
Oh yeah, I do have some severely geeky reading habbits on the side -
ElfQuest (been a total weenie about this comic series since 1979 - Ayooha!)
Also Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" graphic novels (and anything else he writes).
Asimov. Heinlein. Tolkein. Anne Rice. Terry Pratchett. Piers Anthony. Dan Simmons. William Gibson.
(this is not even close to being finished)
Creators, Inventors, Visionaries, Dreamers, Artists, Thinkers, Survivors.
Those who Live their Passion, See the Possible, and Do the Amazing.
Also those rare and remarkable individuals who can; stick to a schedule, get the laundry done, turn in homework on time, mow the lawn regularly, keep the check book balanced, budget effectively, got to work every single day, keep appointments reliably, got to bed at a reasonable hour, remember to pay the insurance premiums, exercise every day, and always eat a healthy diet...
I know they don't really exist, but I can dream....
BEHOLD,the blessing that is.... THE INFINITE HASSELHOFF!!!
I suspect I may really be an obnoxious 9 year old boy trapped in a grown woman's body.
My sense of humor is all inclusive and a little bent. I generally don't care what it is, as long as it makes me laugh.
Mike Meyers once said ~
"Funny is Funny... and that's all there is to it."
The only exception is when a joke is vicious, bully~mean, and intended to wound, because Dude... it's just not funny...
I always enjoy Bollywood videos, watch and be educated. :D
I'm a total geek.... second generation even.
I grew up collecting action figures, playing RPGs, reading comics and doing volunteer work at Science Fiction, Fantasy and Gaming conventions.
I have witnessed many odd & curious sights at these "Conventions".
Here is a Star Wars "Bohemian Rhapsody" ~ my inner geek is luminous when I watch it.... it's amazing.
and I looooove Robot Chicken!
I generally like people, unless they're mean, then I move pretty quick to get out of the way.
Most of the time I think other people are pretty funny, but I think I'm hilarious. I don't expect anyone else to agree except my doctors (if they don't laugh at my jokes, I WILL find a physiscian that can humor me... heh.).
I am grateful every day that I have such terrifically loving and extraordinary people in my life... the kind of sweethearts who would give me a Valentine bear just like this
When I win the lottery I will buy each and every one of "My Peoples" some kind of fabulous 3 wheeled contraption so we can all go on rides in "style" ~ I will also buy each of them a gigantic wheel of Jarlsberg cheese... because I can.
This is the grestest commercial EVER!!!
Okey-Dokey, now some more of my self-absorbed ramble... Hmmm...I'm tall... I'm terrifically curious... I'm not so good at sports... BUT when I read, I read like a CHAMPION!!! I was a total weenie in the 80's... I believe that this picture is all the proof I need...
I am generally kind to animals, but I will go out of my way to tip Sacred Cows. I find this irresistable... and I learn something amazing every time I shove a preconceived notion sideways. It's also kinda' funny watching it kick its angry little hooves and moo...
Well... I have known many different kinds of people, studied many different philosophies & religions & I believe that they are fundamentally more alike than different.
I believe that there is something that connects us all, that makes a seed grow, that powers creative energy - and that gratitude, kindness, understanding, creativity, honesty, forgiveness and unconditional positive regard (read "Love") can work wonders.
and I think that we are all pretty funny when you come right down to it... and I just want to be in on the joke :D
I think our beliefs, attitudes & actions effect how we experience reality & our senses limit our experience to only a fraction of what is really out there...
My strongest and most deeply held belief is that everyone, and I mean EVERYONE!!!!!! deserves a...
MAJOR AWARD!!!!
just for "being"... cuz life can be hard and just surviving is an accomplishment... so... here is your
MAJOR AWARD!!!!
but be careful... it's fra-gee-lay!
People who listen before they make judgements and understand that life is short and that it can be extraordinarily beautiful, and very, very funny.
People like Father Guido Sarducci.
People like the guy in this video. It's called "Where The Hell Is Matt" ~ enjoy...
Now, on to Fantasy land...
All of the people I've listed qualify as heros of mine - from the sacred to the profane, they all ROCK!
First, Non-Living persons in no particular order;
R. Buckminster Fuller (here standing next to 2 of his inventions)
Johnny Cash (here showing what an outlaw he used to be... this was probably taken before he married June)
Leo Buscaglia, Fairinelli. Victor Frankl, Elizabeth Kubler-Ross, Billie Holliday, Elizabeth I, Joseph Campbell, Carl Sagan, Isaac Asimov, Patsy Cline, Fredrick Douglas, Hunter S. Thompson, Ben Franklin, both of the Russian Greats - Peter and Catherine, My Grandfather W.D. Holliday, Doc Holliday and Wyatt Erp, Galilleo, Steve Irwin, Mark Twain, Queen/Pharoah Hatshepsut, Nicola Tesla (I really just want to read his notes), Madagascar Queen Ranavalona I (from a safe distance), Malcolm X,
Worhol (and all of his screwball minions),
Dali (mostly because of the 'stache and the ocelot!)
, Picasso
and Ed "Big Daddy " Roth" 'cuz he ROCKED
and a' BUNCH of other Visionaries, Artists, Thinkers, and Wack Jobs - ad infinitum...
NOW ~ Living persons in no particular order;
Dolly Parton, Gordon Parks, Tim Gunn, Mike Rowe, Joycelyn Elders, Nelson Mandela, Oprah, Steve Wozniak, Desmond Tutu, Adam and Jamie (and Grant, Carrie and Torrie) from Mythbusters, Madeleine Albright, Rev. Carlton Pearson, Melodie Beatty, Tom Petty and also The Heartbreakers. Guy Fieri, K. Eric Drexler, Dave Chapelle, Noam Chomsky, Maj. Dick Winters, Miss Bunny, Chuck Close, Tenacious D., Louise L. Hay, Kevin Smith, Al Franken
Oh, and I've always wanted to meet (and possibly abscond with) a perky Louis Vuitton pig and a tattooed cat...
[[Finally, this degenerates into an oddball geek-fantasy, I was very sleepy when I wrote it]]
It has always been a dream of mine to spend a day on a wine tasting "Adventure" WITH;
Christopher Walken as "The Continental"
AND..... the 3 Stephens (King, Colbert & Speilberg)
AND George Lucas, Harrison Ford, William Shatner & John Waters.
We would be joined later by ALL their friends and families and fomer co-workers(just take a moment and imagine how many truly extraordinary people this would include)
for a giant Bar-B-Q "ShinDig-HootANanny-HoeDown" kind of thing, in a lovely shady spot at an endless mansion in Big Bear.
There would be mountains of Bar-B-Q food yummies prepared by Bobby Flay, Paula Dean and The Neelys
,
and dessert would be an exploding cake made by Duff Goldman and the Ace of Cakes Crew
Finally, after all the great food has been eaten and all that good company startes to go baaaaad,
Everyone would gather in the meadow to cap the day's festivities by singing camp songs and participating in a tension filled not-so-friendly game of Lawn Darts...
HOLY CRAP MARY ALICE!!!
If your gonna' play lawn darts, the rules are:
NO MORE BOX WINE!
and stay away from the "Continental"!!!
