A publicist is a person whose job is to generate and manage publicity for a public figure, with the hopes of making them a celebrity. That is a long term goal. That means you will reap the most rewards from establishing a long term relationship with a publicist consisting of 2-4 years minimum.
A publicist is NOT a promoter, we strive to build brands. LuCreative Group has experience working long term with many music industry celebrities (minor and major), but also professional organizations, political figures and corporate entities. For these reasons -our knowledge base and experience goes beyond a typical “music industry” publicist. Not to mention you will reap the rewards of our carefully selected contact lists and databases because they span the globe.
Our commitment to diversifying the inroads we have built, in all areas of commerce, is one of the best benefits our clients enjoy!
Publicists usually work at large companies handling multiple clients. LuCreative Group is a boutique type of Marketing/Publicity or Public Relations Firm. We work intimately with our clients on a “one on one” basis. Our clients are our family so we are all the more passionate about what we are doing.
We take a personal interest our client’s success and we do not work with “just anyone” we are very selective about who we choose to represent unlike other publicists’ we are careful which artists we choose to work with. At LuCreative Group, our focus is not about making money, it is about passionately pushing a good product into the marketplace. We turn down projects and clients frequently.

Kandis Knight graduated from the prestigious private Catholic institution and world renowned business school, University of St. Thomas, A City of Minneapolis Scholar (full academic scholarship) with a degree in Journalism and Marketing.
Mastering St. Thomas’s wealth of technology training, and learning the principles of marketing, Knight’s career has always been on the fast track. Knight’s dynamic abilities as a young organizer led to a "coveted" position with The Rae Mackenzie Group an elite boutique marketing firm based in Minneapolis.
Knight was recruited and molded exclusively by The Rae Mackenzie Group’s CEO, Sharon Smith-Akinsanya. Smith-Akinsanya was instrumental in teaching Knight guerrilla style marketing which was applied to the internet as the technology was still emerging.
Smith-Akinsanya the former long time VP of Marketing for Prince and Paisley Park was a well-respected marketing guru. Knight flourished, mastering cutting-edged marketing skills and technique that translated into "world class" results.
The Rae Mackenzie Group (originally a three person team) envisioned, planned and manifested one of the Midwest’s largest women's annual events, The Gathering held annually at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The event attracted over 50,000 women the first year of production and raised over 450K+ in corporate sponsorship annually for its seven years of production.
In 2006, Knight relocated to Atlanta, GA and was well-received by industry professionals as a new media marketing expert and in some cases many Atlanta Movers & Shakers had worked with Knight via the internet via her early ninities company called Urban Street Promoter's Barter Network.
Knight’s witty public relations projects, unique style and overall marketing genius led her to the top of the industry where she has worked for some of the top Southern music labels.
In 2007, Knight became the Director of Public Relations and Marketing for the Hypnotized Tour (Rick Ross, Plies, Lil Boosie and others). The tour sold out stadiums across the south with the help of Knight’s internet savvy.
In 2008, Knight accepted the position of Director of Public Relations and Marketing for PZI Jeans International where the 7 year-old Jeans company has experienced quadruple increases in profits since bringing Knight’s expertise in house.
Through her corporation LuCreative Group, Knight also represents numerous artists, corporations, organizations and non-profits in addition to her knack for making music business deals. Knight has served as a publicist for The Booking Agency, Southern Dynasty Records and DreamStar Talent.
In 2008 Knight became an A & R for Mojona LTD, a European music industry giant known for working with artists from Lupe Fiasco, Akon to Jay Z.
Also in 2008 Knight and Keisha McCotry formed Creative Incentives Gifts as a way to connect the huge network of professionals in their day to day networks.
