Kangelen is an alternative rock project written and produced by
Ørnulv Snortheim.
The whole idea started three years ago when Ørnulv had a dream of a herd of wild horses swimming over him while he was laying at the bottom of a lake.
He woke up and wrote the first song for the Kangelen album.
The direction for the album was set, and the three years that followed, he worked on remaking the universe he had a glimpse of in that dream.
The music contains elements of elektronika, folk-music, country, folk-rock but all in a rock-landscape.
Ørnulv Snortheim started playing the guitar and making music twelve years old and since then has dedicated his life to the chase of good melodies.
Through the years he has done composing for Theatres, Contemporary Cirkus, Metal acts, and pop/rock acts.
He works as a producer, songwriter and guitar player for various successfull Norwegian artists such as Haddy N'Jie, Erik Faber, Cirkus Kha oom
He has also contributed on the 2008 albums of Maria Mena, Karpe Diem, Marit Larsen.
As a song writer he has accomplished;
Century (single) : 50 weeks on top 100 radio charts, Norway

Yesterdays call (single) : 116 weeks on top 100 charts, Norway
(Erik Faber).
Century (album) : Sold Gold in Norway (Erik faber).
