BIO. (the short version) .. KANG began their live career in much the same way as they perform onstage, a crazed whirlwind of excitement, improv, and action. .. It was early January 2007 when the Sydney four-piece hit the stage playing for the first time in front of friends and punters, with their first ever support band Lex Lucian, on tour from England. There were no plans for a follow up show, not until the English band said they were impressed by the boys and booked them to play 5 more shows over the next 2 weeks. .. After the excitement and crazyness of KANG's first ever mini-tour, the boys have gone on to release their own home recorded Demo, which again, to the amazement and suprise of all, has sold over 200 copies already, and has been released through Regal Records and MGM green. .. The live shows have been just as exciting with their light-hearted, energetic take on punk rock, inspiring punters from the age of 15 to 50 to dance, mosh or, at the very least, sing along. Hi!
My name is Andrew Hood, I am the Studio Manager at The Grove Studios on the Central Coast. I've been hearing you on triplejunearthed and love your music!
We are a 5 Star Studio with 2 Studios Onsite, Studio 1 has a vintage SSL Console with loads of vintage outboard gear and microphones, Studio 2 is a smaller studio with a vintage Harrison Console and a smaller selection of outboard gear and microphones. Eskimo Joe recorded their last album 'Ghosts Of The Past' in Studio 1 and most of Silverchair's Diorama record was recorded in Studio 2.
If you'd like to come and see the studios just email me back or call me and we'll find a time when you can come and see the studios.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Thanks,
Andrew
