"Toumei no Kagi - The Key of Transparency"

Kanon's new song, "Toumei no Kagi - The Key of Transparency" is now available for ringtone downloads in Japan. This song is the theme song to a Japanese online game "The Key of Avalon." An up tempo song, music by Mana, and ｌyrics by Kanon.

You can enjoy a snippet of the song used in a promotion video of the game on the special webpage, "The Key of Avalon x Kanon Wakeshima."

Kanon Joins HELLWEEN LIVE 2009!

Kanon is set for the first live performance after her solo live in August.
Kanon will perform at HELLWEEN 2009 by VAMPS at Stellaball at Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo on October 29th.

This is Kanon Wakeshima: Japanese Cellist & Vocalist

Kanon started playing the cello at the age of three years old. In middle school, she formed and performed in a strings ensemble and a cello duo. She first took part in an early music concert when she was 15, playing the Baroque cello, and continued to perform at various classical music recitals and joint concerts.

She began to write her own music towards the end of middle school and, as a high school freshman, performed as a vocalist for the first time at the annual school festival. While in high school, Kanon belonged to a popular music club.
Later on into her high school years, she performed and displayed her talents at an audition to further pursue her creative expression; she was chosen as a finalist which led her to her current success.
