can't wait for September!Posted at 7:29 PM Aug 2 view more
Don't let the Kansas part fool you.
Kansas International Film Festival.. is dedicated to bringing premier independent, art-house, avant garde, and documentary films from around the world to Kansas City every September.
We're not your typical film festival. Not just a venue for exhibiting film, every year KIFF welcomes filmmakers from around the world to speak and interact with filmgoers. There are no boundaries here. Conversation between film fans and filmmakers is a staple of any KIFF event and everyone is welcome.
KIFF also exists to show folks that Kansans aren’t a bunch of yahoos. Intelligent and unafraid of thumbing our nose at less evolved people who make a lot of intolerant noise in our fair state, the Kansas International Film Festival shows socially and culturally diverse films – as well as entertaining flicks – in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
For more info drop by our official website or swing by our home at the Glenwood Arts Theatre in Overland Park. Also, feel free to drop us a line with thoughts, comments, or suggestions anytime.
Filmmakers of narrative and documentaries who are interested in screening their work for a discerning, intelligent crowd. KIFF is a festival that puts the filmmaker and the film's message at the center of attention. Come see us on our official website at: http://www.kansasfilm.com/

New 2009 Berdella Trailer
The official trailer for the new movie Berdella, presented by the Northeast Film Group LLC. The movie Berdella is based on the life of Kansas City serial killer Bob Berdella between the years 1984 and 1988. This four year span resulted in the deaths of 6 men who were violated, tortured, and mutilated. Many historians make the claim that Berdella was more brutal and violent than Dahmer.
The film is scheduled for a Summer 2009 theatrical release date.

Plot Summary
Alfred Eaker's Jesus And Her Gospel Of Yes was definitely a trip. As in a journey. the non-stop bombardment of images and anti-rhetoric was liberating and exhausting simultaneously. It reminded me of Hobbs' Roseland (and other psychedelic Something Weird titles), the Sub-Genius film Arise!, Kenneth Anger, and the low-rent lunacy of Michael D Moore (the 'other' Michael Moore)... all fused into one jaw-dropping melange. craziness of the first order...and that is a recommendation.
