Debut album "Standing Room Only" limited photo edition will be released on 29th June 2009. Details to follow...Kanute is singer/songwriter Rachael Gray. Her collaboration with producer Rob Overseer began when they worked together on the track "Sparks" which appeared on the Overseer album "Wreckage" on the Columbia label.
Following the success of Sparks, work began on a full album project under the name Kanute. This album is almost completed and will be ready for release by early summer.

She also works with producer The Suit and his collective live project that sprang up last year after he won a slot at The Big Chill. This material is quite different to her work with Overseer although she admits she does pretty much the same thing herself for both, taking the "girly miserable lyrics" role.
