Kaotika, palabra que deriva de caos, (Estado de confusión y desorden en que se halla la matéria ó situación hasta el momento de la creación del orden). Aunque el caos esta usualmente relacionado con circumstancias negativas, es justamente Kaotika quien nos demuestra todo lo contrario. “Tenemos que recordar que el caos esta presente en cada aspecto del mundo en que vivimos, en cada vida humana…es parte de nuestra existencia”, dice Aracelly, “pero es de ese mismo caos de donde nacen las pasiones mas grandes, nuestra pasión es la música, y ese es el único mensaje que queremos transmitir.”
Ellos son cinco integrantes, todos orgullosamente de nacionalidad Boliviana, que se conocieron en Estados Unidos. Unificados por un mismo sueño, un 30 de Septiembre del 2006, deciden formar una banda del Rock en Español. Desde ese entonces, la meta mas importante de estos muchachos ha sido encontrar una identidad musical única…y con mucho éxito, lo han logrado! Cada una de sus presentaciones lleva consigo ese elemento de originalidad que los caracterizo desde un principio.
Hoy Kaotika es reconocida como una de las bandas de Rock en Español mas exitosas en el Area Metropolitana de Washington. Una de sus mas importantes presentaciones hasta el momento fue abrir el concierto de Vilma Palma en el State Theater de Virginia. “Nos sentimos muy afortunados por haber tomado nuestro primer paso con una oportunidad tan grande que no muchas bandas nuevas tienen, esto lo vemos como un estímulo para trabajar mas y dar lo mejor de nosotros.” Han compartido escenario con bandas recenocidas como Volumen Cero y Locos por Juana, nominados al Grammy en el 2006. Fueron elgidos para formar parte de el DC Latin Rock Fest 2007, en donde tuvieron la oportunidad de compartir escenario con la famosa banda española, Hamlet. Fueron entrevistados por Univision y Telemundo, las cadenas mas importantes de habla híspana en Estados Unidos. Participaron en un evento de Burger King en Miami, Tú Ciudad Tú Música, para promover el talento latino y recientemente fueron elegidos por LATV como una de las 20 mejores bandas de la Union Americana.
Con el lanzamiento de la primera producción discografica de Kaotika, “Yo Tengo el Control”, se da a resaltar el talento y la perseverancia de estos cinco muchachos Bolivianos que hasta el momento no se han permitido hallar barreras para lograr sus metas y representar a su pais con mucho orgullo. En Noviembre, planean filmar
su primer video musical en Nueva York y se espera que sea transmitido por MTV una vez terminado.
Con muchas aspiraciones para el futuro, el sueño de Kaotika es el de crear música que inspire a multitudes a identificarse con sus canciones. Cada cancion asimienta el pasado, presente y futuro de esta banda. “Cada uno de nosotros representa un elemento muy importante a lo que Kaotika es en este momento y no quisieramos que esto cambie jamas. Lo único que queremos es que la gente aprenda a interpretar el caos, “Kaotika”, en una forma positiva, como una parte importante de nuestras vidas, o mejor aun, llegar a aprender de el tal como nosotros lo hacemos mediante nuestra música.
Kaotika, word that derives from chaos, (The confused, unorganized condition or mass of matter before the creation of distinct and orderly forms).
Although chaos is usually associated with negative circumstances it is Kaotika that proves this conception to be wrong. “We have to remember that there is chaos in every aspect of this world, in every human life…it’s part of our existence”, says Aracelly. “But it is from this same chaos that high passions are born, our passion is music and this is the message we want to send.”
All five of them, born and raised in Bolivia, met in the US. Unified by the same dream, they decide to form a Latin Rock band on September 30, 2006. Since that day they have devoted themselves to finding their unique musical sound...and with much success, they have found it! Every one of their presentations carries that one element of originality that has characterized them from the beginning.
Today Kaotika is recognized as one of the most successful Latin Rock bands in the DC Metropolitan Area. One of their most important performances so far has been opening for Vilma Palma concert at the State Theater in Virginia. "We feel very fortunate to have taken our first step with such a huge opportunity that not many beginner bands have, we see it as an encouragement to work harder and give only our best.” They have shared stage with bands like Volumen Cero and Locos Por Juana, 2006 Grammy nominees. They were chosen to participate in the DC Latin Rock Festival 2007, where 10 of the most important Latin Rock bands from the Eastern Shore performed as well as Hamlet directly from Spain. They have been interviewed by Telemundo and Univision, both the most important Hispanic television stations in the United States. Other important events include Burger King’s, Tu Ciudad Tu Música, in Miami, Florida and recently they were chosen by LATV as one of the Top 20 Bands in the US.
On May 27, 2007 they released their CD debut album, Yo Tengo el Control, which clearly demonstrates the talent and perseverance of this new, yet very promising band. They plan to start the shoot of their first musical video, which will be filmed in New York by the end of November.
With many aspirations for the future, Kaotika’s dream is to create music that inspires multitudes to identify themselves with their songs. Each song grasps a moment of their past, present and future. “Everyone of us is a very important element to what Kaotika is at this moment, and we never want this to change. What we want is for people to interpret chaos (Kaotika) the way we do, as a positive element of our lives and better yet, learn from it just as we do through our music”.
