Music is a need to sustain stars. We have that kind of need. We play, listen and we sustain music in every breath, every thrill, every heartbeat. Through our ideas we identify our world during everyday of recognizing ourselfs. We are not looking outside. We are searching inside. We have some values to discover. Weed is a current name for plants that can poison or cure us. Cannabis, thyme, lovage, datura, coffe, tea, nutmeg and others are all weed. Every of them can be used as a fount of health or destruction. Everyone of us can choose how to use that weed. Everyone of us have a choice. Everyone can choose might, health or fragility, destruction. It's not our thing to judge that. Our thing is to inform. We have common roots. We can be strong, dense, compassionate, helpful, aware. We can be weak, smashed, mean, grasping. We can, but what we want? Weed Band (Kapela Ziele) has roots of Greater Poland. Organic work is in our veins. Tradition is a progress pointer. Weed Band has it's roots in music, that connects and supports in moments of sadness, worry and gives happiness and joy in the same time. We have a awarness of contemporaneity. It's XXI century. Virtual expanse and digital reality is our present. We don't have any problems with generating loops and sampling. Everyone is able do that. We play on the original acoustical instruments. Perfection is needed here. To make a sound is not as easy as pushing the button and repeating loop. For us every sound has value and is unique and transmiting to the universe. Emotions are not repeatable. Knowing the place that we came from is a value. About Zbaszyn we know all from history to sounds, tastes and photos. We know neighbours and stalls. We are developing sounds and forgotten instruments. Wedding goat - who knows, that it's a kind of hornpipe from Zbaszyn region? Who of you knows what is hornpipe? We play that instrument. We also play on baraban, accordion and violin. Girls are singing forgotten songs. Zbaszyn is a city on the border. In past there used to be a border between Poland and Prussia. Now there is a border between provinces. Border is expanding our awarness, because the border of XX and XXI century informed us about values that we've inherited. We've inherited a joy of common creating, co-operating and a respect for the others. Weed Band is rooted in tradition. Weed Band is transboundary and transgenic fruit of a Great Polish Folk Music.
