I'm a Buddhist, but not a very devout one, it's difficult to be a devout anything when you're young, however, I converted to Buddhism, so I will probably do better than I currently do. For the time being I do my best at keeping my karma balanced and hopefully when I grow up I can become a good buddhist.

In Buddhism, there are Four Noble Truths: ..(1) Life is suffering... ..(2) All suffering is caused by ignorance of the nature of reality and the craving, attachment, and grasping that result from such ignorance... ..(3) Suffering can be ended by overcoming ignorance and attachment. ....(4) Suffering can be overcome through use of the Eight Fold Path. .. The path to the suppression of suffering, the Noble Eightfold Path, consists of:

    right views
    right intention
    right speech
    right action
    right livelihood
    right effort
    right-mindedness
    and right contemplation

These eight are usually divided into three categories that base the Buddhist faith: morality, wisdom, and concentration. It is through the practice of this Eightfold path through which one balances ones Karma.

I like Politics and the drama that surrounds that donkey show. I'd like to help make politics fair and interesting to the masses again, but since most people would rather watch paint dry than the presidential debates I think I have my work cut out for me.

It doesn't help that I belong to a third Party, or that the third party I belong to, the Libertarians, are viewed as Gun toting Potheads, which is a stereotype but isn't necessarily wrong when it comes to the leadership of my party. They refuse to listen to anyone with a degree in politics because they believe that if they play the game that somehow that will diminish the moral edge they have on the Major parties, but the truth is that if you don’t play the game you can’t win the game. I’d like to help us gain some ground on the national level while running for offices on the local level but for now I’ll just have to be patient, cause very few people vote for twenty something year old kids for public office.

I recently took up tennis. It's fun, even though I'm not any good. It's alot of running and since I'm not use to aerobic exercise, an-aerobic's more my style, it's doing a number on me. Hopefully I'll get my wind soon so I can finish a whole match without a break or five.

But most of all I like to party. Your only young once and I plan to live the hell out my youth. If that means waking up most morings wondering where my pants r, than so be it.

Blurbs

About me:

I'm a simple kid who grew up in a small town in North East Central Nevada. You could call it the middle of nowhere, and you'd be right. It was a nice place to grow up as a child, but I got bored of it before I got to much older and I ended up moving around a little before I settled in Cedar City, Ut where I did the college Thing.

I spent a majority of my time there attending Southern Utah University. It only took me 6 1/2 years but I graduated. I know that's along time but I did get 3 degrees. I still love my college Fraternity, I met most of my best friends there and I got into most of my trouble there too, what with it kicking everyone elses ass and all. It seems however that those days are gone and it was soon time for me to grow up and get a real job.

I Moved to Philadelphia, along way from home to say the least, and got a job working for two differnt Museums. Eastern State Penitentiary, near Center City Philadelphia, is the oldest penitentiary in the world and a fun and fluid place to work. Fonthill, a concrete castle in a suburb called Doylestown, was the first residential building built mainly out of concrete and it's filledwith artifacts beyond imagination. But sadly the economy slowed and Eastern couldn't keep me around. Philly's and expesive place to live and without a carreer type job school kept tickling at the back of my mind.

I started the Masters of Public Administration Program back at SUU in January this year, and after that I'll be going to law school with the hope of some day creating a NGO that helps restructure or government into something practical and effective, pretty much the opposite of what it is today.

I dig piercing and Tattoos. I have 3 of the first and 2 of the latter. I don't dig shitty ink or blatantly tacky piercings. I think one needs moderation or you just end up as a caricature of yourself. And that goes for all things, not just art.

Now I don't purport to being the best person in the world, often times I aim to misbehave; but I ain't numbered among the worst and I think that's saying something. I try to do more good things than bad and I do my best to help other people when I can. All in all my karma's balanced, and that's all a guy can really hope for I guess.

Disclaimer:
I've made alot of good friends over the years and you'll find most of them on my friends list. If your one of those friends that got lost along the way or have been left behind in the digital revolution I'm sorry. You're more than welcome back.

Who I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet the Dalai Lama. Sometimes I have more than my fair amount of trouble accepting the world as it is. I want so badly to fix things that are out of my control. Even a short time with the Dalai Lama, just to learn how to let go, I think would move me miles along the path to enlightenment, on which I'm sure I am only inches away from the starting line.
I'd also like to meet Ron Paul. Every time I have a good idea for a way to seriously impact American Politics for the better I find that Ron did it 10 years ago and already fucked it up. I'd just like to ask him why he hates America so much that he continues to cripple the American Third Parties, and then maybe punch him in the face. ok, probably not punch him, but I'd be thinking about it.

  • Mar 15 2009 3:43 PM

All i have to say is that your new guys need to learn how to handle their alcohol. I have never seen so many people puke so much at a party. It's also a good thing they can't if there is still half a tin left.
