A groovy, grinding vibe hits us as Karalta start their set. Some very deep bass is accompanied by a tingling, echoey guitar and some rattling, distant sounding drum beats. The band pile on the pressure suddenly, with a clear slapping bass and thick chords - it's just a little bit reminiscent of Korn actually. The vocal delivers a smooth melody. The band make extensive use of light and shade and are not afraid to explore every avenue with their jazz metal noodling sitting on top of the satisfying, wholesome undercurrent. It's a spectacular, intriguing metal blend that is very easy to get into - and they do all this numbering only three - clever buggers! www.neon-promotions.co.uk
