1. We'd like to have a professional sound but want to record at home. is it possible ?
Yes, it is. You can record your tracks with whatever means you have handy, at the comfort of your own home and then send me your files using a way we'll have worked out.
However, you've got to remember "Shit In - Shit Out". Don't use any effects, or touch the eq and comps on your console/soundcard. Your playing and tuning must be perfect (be it guitars, bass, drums or any other instrument), anything but perfect I don't wanna know about. If you're recording guitars and bass, make sure you record the DI signal too (any descent DI box will do) - that's imperative ! Try to capture the cleanest and most upfront signal, any room/ambience will interfere with the mix, in a very detrimental way. Use either 16/24Bit 44.1Khz, free of unwanted noise, consolidated tracks, starting from 0 even if there's nothing recorded for 10mins.
2. So how do we know what you do suits our style ?
That's a fair question. You can send me the tracks of one song and I'll send it back, mixed and mastered professionally completely free of charge, with no obligation whatsoever. So see, or hear, for yourself. Then, you decide. Now that's a fair answer.
3. Where can I hear samples of your work ?
On the top right of this profile, you'll find a list with CD's I've produced. Now the mp3 quality won't do anyone's work any justice so at the bottom of this column, there are links to a few quality samples for you to download. They're only fragments of songs and I'd like to thank the bands for granting me permission to use them.
4. Will working with you get us signed ?
No. It's your compositions, dedication and professionalism that will do that. Nevertheless, I will forward your news, blogs and bulletins and help spread the word to others and record companies.

Got my batch of "Rulers of the Sea" today... I didn't know you mixed/mastered this one until I saw it on the back cover... great work, it sounds so much better then when I was just recording the solo guitar tracks early last year. Awesome stuff, can't wait to hear your work on the new Folkodia (what I've heard so far sounds killer!).
