Karascene is much more than a band it is a dream a dream of music that lives forever the way it was done before us, yes we are an original band, but there is a standard we live by, when it comes to songwriting and performing like the greats that came before us, it is this belief that drives us to be the very best at what we do we love to perform and give it all every time we play.

Karascene was formed in Feb of 01 by James Karais an award winning Songwriter and Poet, playing everywhere from Nashville TN through Texas, and Mississippi, before settling in New York.

Soon after arriving in New York City James soon found James Ravida who quickly became the bass player that became the backbone of the Karascene sound, and years went by as we worked on material making sure every sound was as original as possible throwing away songs to get to the good ones and in Jan of 07 after sending a myspace add to a lead guitarist lead Joe Dickson A.K.A MR BURNZ joined the band. Soon after we found Traybagg One of the most sought after Drummers in N.Y.C.

With Tray in the band and the rhythm section in place we began playing shows with no delay we began recording Equal Lithium in October 0f 08 and it will be released this fall we are doing a soft release august 21st at Barney Mcnabbs and it will be available on myspace and itunes until we release this fall.it will be available on itunes within weeks.

Karascene is available for any and all bookings and tours and we are also available for private parties and college events just let us know where you want us and we will come. also all my space friends get into our gigs 4 half price it has and will always be more about the party than the money with us. you can contact us here or through our EPK for bookings thanks for your time.
