Movies
I like movies that aren't stupid. Unless they know they are stupid and are doing it on purpose. Nothing annoys me more than a stupid movie that the director thinks is his opus or something. To name a few names: The Last of the Mohicans, Bridget Jones' Diary, gosh, almost anything based on a video game (the cheesier the better) early John Woo (the For a Better Tomorrow series comes to mind) Nowhere in Africa, City of Lost Children, The Princess Bride.Television
Seeing as how I don't have cable I like to watch tv shows that are out on dvd. The Simpsons, Firefly, Xena (shut up, it's a good show. Look, I don't have to justify myself to you, ok?? :P) Oh, those lovely shows from my childhood such as She-Ra and Jem. And I used to buy a lot of Anime when I had a job.Books
Mostly I've been reading textbooks lately. Some of the ones on Oriental Medicine are very heavy so I get an arm and brain workout. When I'm not studying though I like a good political book (up next will be some Dworkin) sf/f, comic books now and then. I will read anything actually, as long as it interests me (Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly, etc are NOT interesting. They are simply to be ignored.)Heroes
The Bush administration for using the "Weekend at Bernie's (2)" strategy for tricking the nation into thinking that Cheney is still alive. Oh, God I hate them so... Also She-Ra, let's cheer for the strongest woman in the universe who still uses her brain first!

Ok, so I'm kind of a turd too. I live out in the suburbs :( and I work from 3pm-11:30pm most everyday. That's a total killer for my social life. BUT we should both stop being lame and get together soon.
