......i love nascar, football, can watch playoff sports as well....such as college basketball and football...even hockey sometimes. i love to travel, read, watch my granddarlins grow.....i love animals.....i dunno.....things change and i try to change and grow..............small talk and drama doesn't interest me i can tell ya that much

i like and appreciate all types of music pretty much.....it'd be easier to tell ya what i don't like.....i don't like old timey country music....that stuff with the twang.....ugh...don't like bluegrass or jazz or ant of this gangsta rap crap!!!!!....i don't like anything that reminds me of certain people and places in my life. i'm all about upbeat and positive stuff....moving forward in my life. it is kind of cool to talk about and hear some songs from way back when....i've lived long enough now to have those types of memories!!!!!
Movies
again......i'm pretty selective re: movies and things....can't say i've seen too many at the theatre recently.....not too many interest me and i usually wait till they come out on dvd or cable...and then i'll watch them at jason's......i do catch myself watching indie movies at jason's house...saw one i really liked...agnes brown....i've liked alot of different movies throughout the years....mainly dramas and things based on real life situations......

****UPDATE RE: HOUSE******* due to the writer's strike recently hasn't been on...but I don't get home in time from work to watch anyhow...and I don't care that I miss it because I am NOT crazy about the new season/new people....so it's pretty much Sopranos reruns and my netflix past Sopranos episodes I've missed......
just recently was able to start watching sopranos reruns!!!! love that show.....i catch my nascar races....tvland is good depending on what the're showing....can't get a whole lot here ....bravo's "inside the actor's studio"...mad men...animal planet....indie films which i watch at my son's house during the day time permitting which is rare....
Books
i read the bible every morning....that book has every answer ever needed in life....don't read as much as i used to because i don't have the time.....don't like fection, romance, mysteries etc...just like my movies i like biographies, non fiction...anything based on real life....i like john bevere's books alot...loved the book "seabiscuit" sat down in one sitting and read the whole thing, am currently reading "marley and me"....marley reminds me so much of my boss's black lab "boomer"....want to read "the shack"..i've heard so much about it
Heroes
Jesus....I aspire to be like Him...but it's hard to do....other than that I can say I've only respected a few people in my life...(those you can count on one hand)...I don't look to people so much....but i can tell you the types of people i consider heroes...and those are the ones who've gone through tremendous hardship in life and come out on the other end without bitterness and rancor and still have a positive outlook on life...now that is awesome to me...but i'm not jealous...
So ya wanna know about me?? well.....it's hard to say...because i'm growing and changing all the time....life is a progression. i'm ever changing...not my core values but i'm wanting to not let the past rule and determine my present and my future. i don't play games, i don't do unnecessary drama, i don't NEED people in my life....there's a difference between wanting and needing...so let me make that clear. i get along better with guys than i do with girls...girls are mean spirited, underhanded and manipulative..generally speaking. not all...but most...the friends i have that are true friends i've had for a very long time. no one gets into my inner circle...maybe a few. i love animals passionately. more than people. i have a twisted and dry sense of humor and a sharp wit. i'm curious and like to "know" things just for the sake of knowing them. i love to travel i'm spontaneous although i have been known to plan a little. i learned a long time ago that "plans" go awry so i don't look too much further ahead than one day at a time....i try not to look back and live in the past and i don't go far into the future...i'm more about the here and now. i'm strong and independent...TRULY...this isn't just lip service...but i honestly would like a strong man who is confident and secure and can see past the outward to the heart....if it happens it happens if it doesn't then it just wasn't meant to be...i'd rather be alone with my animals than to put up with something that's not right for me....if you have any questions feel free to ask....:) this is subject to change at any time.....(this about me thing)..oh...i love sports of all kinds.....:)
Who I'd like to meet: Had to update my "who I'd like to Meet" section since I did attend the Kevin Harvick Fan Club Gathering this past October. I did get to meet Kevin and I wasn't nervous at all!!!! I met alot of my online "HOL" friends finally and it was great!!!! Loved meeting these great people for the first time. Other than that can't think of anyone else I'd like to meet. Maybe my soulmate???? That would be awesome. I'm always looking to meet new people and experience new places. I love it!!!

Hey Karen, its just about that time 2night! ;) 2009 is just around the corner. I read from the Yahoo! site that Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury are showing up in the night sky right after sunset. (Whichever star is bright those should be the planets.) Of course the moon is gonna be up and Mercury and Jupiter are supposed to be where the "southwestern" area of the sky is. Venus is the brightest of them all and is supposed to be somewhere where the moon is. Alright, I sound like a planet scientist dude. ROFL! A simpler way of putting it, just go outside and look for the three really shiny "stars" (Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury) tonight if you're interested. Anyways LOL, hope ya have a relaxing new year Karen and I'll catch ya later! :)
