About me:
My name is Karen Curious. I live in NYC and I play bass and sing for the band NEW PROFESSIONALS (http://www.new-professionals.com or http://www.myspace.com/newprofessionals)
For my "DAY JOB" I put bands on shows and throw parties. I like making a scene instead of just piecing some shitty night together. In other words, i like to keep the room full and no ins and outters, wherever i am it's a party and that's the way i like my shows i run and play for that matter to happen.
I am currently throwing some shows together over at OTTO's Shrunken Head on the 3rd Saturday of the month and just starting to book some random nights at SCENIC which is a new hotspot in the East Village that has the old raw feel of the rock scene that we all came to love and lost to the Yups at most of the venues around NYC. I am really excited about throwing some parties there and booking only bands that can draw not only numbers but a really cool crowd. I am all about the purity of the audieces, afterall they represent you and if they are assholes you probably are too and I am so not interested in catering to any more fake losers in this city.
I will try to keep this as updated as possible, If you are an outta towner I will do what i can for you, i know how it is playing where no one knows you YET, i will try to hook you up in between bands that draw but i need you to schmooz your asses off up here to the peeps in these NYC, Brooklyn AREA CODES, y'know what i am sayin? ok cool, keep it real and see you soon. if you need me in a hurry, you can find me on AIM at newprosnyc.

Who I'd like to meet:
bands that can bring a minimum of 50 people to their shows! For Real man.
and bands that are ORIGINAL. No cover bands unless you are a TRIBUTE situation then i guess we can accomodate you.
