I work with many different musicians in different contexts. Most notably the bluegrass band 'Acoustic Shock': Martin Louis- 5-string banjo(3 times National Banjo champ), Nigel Lever- mandolin and Quentin Fraser- double bass/acoustic guitar/dobro

I like to think I don't sound a lot like anyone else but I hope I sound like a combination of all of the above influences.
Australian singer/songwriter Karen Lynne has a style of music that ranges
from Country,.. to Bluegrass,.. to Folk and everything in between. She has 5
albums, her debut album 'Labour Of Love'? (1998) gained her a Finalist
Nomination in the Australian CM Awards and the opportunity to tour in the UK
in 1999 (and again later in 2002), which she did to rave reviews. Her second
album 'Six Days in December'? was a highly acclaimed Duet album with Aussie
singer/songwriter Pat Drummond which won a number of awards. Her third,
'Blue Mountain Rain', a collaboration with 'Acoustic Shock' Bluegrass Band
from Sydney, collectively has now received 9 major Award Nominations, won a
Award for Best Independent Release and placed Karen as the first Australian
Female Artist to release a complete Bluegrass album. In July 2005, along
with Acoustic Shock Bluegrass Band, she completed a very successful tour
across Europe & UK where they performed in Denmark, Germany, the
Netherlands, England, Wales and Norway - where they supported Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder.
2002 gave rise to Country style album 'Second Wind', her fourth quality
album release which achieved 2 Major Award wins, 11 Major Award Nominations
& three Top 10? chart hits. Her first video clip showcases the title track
and was released in November 2005. Her fifth album 'Changes' was released in
January 2006 to exceptional reviews. It is a solo contemporary 'Bluegrass &
Acoustic' album jointly produced by Rod McCormack and Herm Kovac - two of
the industry's best producers and features the 'A team'? of Australian
Bluegrass musicians. ?Changes¹ has been hailed a ?truly international album
in the class of Alison Krauss & Rhonda Vincent¹ and the first three singles
have reached the Top 5 on the Australian Country Music Chart, something
unheard of in Australia and a great achievement for a Bluegrass song. Most
recently she has picked up the 2007 ³Frank Ifield¹ International Spur award
and a TIARA Award for songwriting at the 2007 Tamworth CM Festival. In 2008, Karen was inducted into the Hands of Fame at the 2008 Tamworth CM Festival.
