La culture musicale de Karimgong commence très tot dans sa ville d'oyonnax ou il est un adepte fervent de la musique reggae.
Son aisance en la matière s'en suivra rapidemment d'une intégration dans le groupe " Naphtalians " , avec , au fond de lui, un gout profond pour la musique de Bob Marley.
Sa personnalité,le conduira tout naturellement a se produire sur des scènes comme le Rail Théatre lors de la tournée reggae bash 2005 avec le jamaicain Clinton Fearon ex Gladiators et son grand ami le lion sud africain Ras" Alexius " Dumisani, au Ninkazi kao a Lyon et dans la salle mythique du New Morning a Paris en 1ere partie de Ras Dumisani pour qui il a une grande estime.
Karimgong croise la route de certains artistes comme Steel pulse/Johnny Dizzy Moore/Sparrow Martin ( 1er batteur de Marley)/Dillinger/Dean frazer/Nambo Robinson/The Viceroys /Jaco Thelwell/Ras Nestar...pour n'en citer que quelques uns.
Aujourd'hui Karimgong travail avec Ras Dumisani et n'hésite pas a répondre présent quand il est invité par le Petit fils du King Chaka Zulu
