Bio:

Hi! My name is Karin and welcome to My space! I work as a proffessional tromboneplayer in Stockholm, Sweden, where I freelance in the fields of jazz, salsa, pop, bossa nova and similar styles. I work mostly in Sweden, but I also travel a lot from time to time, both with different bands and as a soloist with local groups. In the fall of 2009, I was very proud to release my cd "Everyday Magic" with my own group Karin Hammar Quartet (Skip Records). I wrote all the music and produced it myself. Besides my own group, I also work with different projects with musicians from France, South Africa, Brazil, Holland, Denmark, Germany and Norway.(And Sweden of course!) In 2004, I released the first CD in my own name: "Karin Hammar Good Vibe Project" (Prophone/Naxos). With Sliding Hammers (a group I had between 1997-2008 with my sister Mimmi), we released 5 CDs. Here on My Space ou will find samples from "Everyday Magic" plus songs from "Good Vibe Project" and "Sliding Hammers"-CDs...
