Karin is a passionate Singer/Songwriter of Swedish decent. Her Piano playing will remind you of Elton John & Tori Amos. Karin's sweet sultry voice is reminiscent of Pink, Stevie Nicks, Sarah Mclachlan, Norah Jones, Jewel & Faith Hill. Her powerful lyrics & beautiful melodies will touch your heart & soul. Karin's unique music is influenced by her Philly upbringing and International travel. The best way to experience Karin's music is to hear it for yourself. Click on her audio files and you will be transported to a mellow musical place that can not be represented by words alone.
Karin is comfortable performing her originals or popular keyboard accompanied cover songs as well as backing other musicians as a varied style rock band keyboardist. Karin performs live both solo and with her guitarist & partner Dezmond. Karin's captivating keyboard style, flowing melodies and inspired lyrics, along with Dezmonds haunting guitar grooves, make Karin's music sensory ambrosia. P.S. Karin's four piece band and extended band get together for special gigs, jams and recording sessions.
Karin and Dezmond performed selectively through through2007 to give them time to finish writing/recording/and producing Karin's first independent CD. It will include songs she wrote solo from 15 years ago to this year as well as more recent collaborations with Dezmond. Dezmond is producing the project and the tantilizing release is expected in the Fall of 2008 when it will be available on Sonicbids as well as CDBaby, Itunes, and radio stations worldwide. I grew up listening to lots of different types of music. Even Rod Stewart, Neil Young, The Who, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Billie Holiday, Stevie Wonder, Angela Boffil, and Queen. One of my favorite musicians will always be George Benson, here is an awesome video of him playing "Lately"
Another artist I enjoy is Jon Secada (in Spanish of course!)
"Angel" and "Otra Dia Mas Sin Verte"(Just another Day Without you) are my favorites. Listen to these songs on LastFm! Be patient they take a while to load but they are worth it! you can get the Album at www.amazon.com too.
