Many different artists have influenced Kari. For the majority of her childhood she was influenced by classic songs that were done in the 50’s 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s. Artists like Amanda Marshall, Cheryl Crow, Sarah McLaughlin, Jewel, Faith Hill, Leanne Rhimes and, Supertramp have big influences on her and her and what she creates.
Kari Weston was born and raised in Fort Erie Ontario, a small town within the Niagara Region. Being a 3rd generation musician in her family, Kari has been exposed to various different music styles and continues to explore new genres and different sounds. Personal influences on her music come from every day observations of people and the world around her. In combination with her different perceptions/outlooks on life and her down to earth pagan spirituality, Kari's songs are truly unique.
Kari has performed on television, and continuea to play various events and showcases within the region.
Most recently Kari had taken a couple of years off to focus on a few other opportunities and has returned with a renewed drive and passion for her music.
As for me, I know nothing else but miracles, Whether I walk the streets of Manhattan, Or dart my sight over the roofs of houses toward the sky, Or wade with naked feet along the beach just in the edge of the water, Or stand under the trees in the woods, Or talk by day with any one I love, Or sleep in bed at night with any one I love, Or watch honey bees busy around the hive of a summer forenoon... Or the wonderfulness of the sundown, Or of stars shining so quiet and bright, Or the exquisite delicate thin curve of the new moon in spring... What stranger miracles are there?
Hi there Kari Weston first of all we'd like to say thanks for being our myspace pal. We wanted to make sure you knew the reason incase we suddenly vanish off of your friends list. The movement we've started for indie artists has grown significantly and consumes all of our time these days. We seldom sign into our myspace account and this is making several people believe that we are ignoring them. We are not ignoring anyone, we wanted everyone to know that. What we're doing has become so busy we just don't have the time for myspace any longer, so in all honesty we are probably going to just close our myspace account.
